The protective shield may also include an outboard shield assembly having an outboard shield and an outboard base. The outboard shield may include a forward plate fixed at an angle to a center plate and a rear plate fixed at an angle to the center plate. The center plate may include a window opening and a window fixed over the window opening. A splice plate may connect portions of the inboard and outboard bases.

    Abstract: An armor kit may include a weapon shield having a front plate with a weapon barrel opening and at least one window opening; a rotating outboard shield including a front panel connected to a center panel and a rear panel connected to the center panel, each of the front, center, and rear panels including a window opening and a window disposed over the window opening; a rotating inboard shield having an upper portion that is solid and a lower portion with a viewing aperture, the rotating inboard shield being located generally opposite the rotating outboard shield, the rotating inboard shield and the rotating outboard shield being simultaneously rotatable and maintaining fixed positions relative to each other; and a stationary inboard shield located in an interior of a circle of rotation of the rotating inboard shield and the rotating outboard shield.

    Abstract: A protective folding shield for mounting to a rail of a vehicle may include a generally rectangular shield; a base stand fixed to a first side of the shield; a shim fixed to the first side of the shield and spaced apart from the base stand; a hinge fixed to the base stand and the shim; a base fixed to the base stand; a pair of latch bases fixed to the base adjacent a second side of the shield; a pair of latch uprights fixed to the second side of the shield wherein, in a substantially vertical position of the generally rectangular shield, the pair of latch uprights are removably fixed to respective ones of the latch bases; and a plurality of clamps fixed to the base wherein the rail is disposed between the clamps and the base.
