  • Patent number: 10719340
Abstract: Disclosed in some examples, are methods, systems, GUIs, and machine-readable mediums for providing an improved command bar interface that assists a user in entering commands by implementing a scope operator to specify a command scope and also visual controls for entering parameters of commands. The command bar may have a default global scope that may be modified by users by entering a scope operator and a scope identifier. The command bar may render a set of parameter segments to assist users in entering parameters for the commands.

  • Publication number: 20150081448
Abstract: Architecture that advertisements enables advertisements related to user intent to be pre-staged on a z-axis, out of view of an application content layer in the x-y axis until triggered for partial or entire presentation in the content layer. The advertisement content architecture utilizes a modular, device-specific approach based upon the z-axis of the device(s) with which the user is interacting. Advertisement content is targeted (personalized) based on the user's personal preferences gathered via personal data, search history, and personal cloud data. The advertisement content and metadata are combined in a visually interesting z-axis presentation across multiple user devices. Advertisement content is mapped to the consumer decision journey to produce the desired advertisement at the right time.

  • Publication number: 20120224060
Abstract: Driver distraction is reduced by providing information only when necessary to assist the driver, and in a visually pleasing manner. Obstacles such as other vehicles, pedestrians, and road defects are detected based on analysis of image data from a forward-facing camera system. An internal camera images the driver to determine a line of sight. Navigational information, such as a line with an arrow, is displayed on a windshield so that it appears to overlay and follow the road along the line of sight. Brightness of the information may be adjusted to correct for lighting conditions, so that the overlay will appear brighter during daylight hours and dimmer during the night. A full augmented reality is modeled and navigational hints are provided accordingly, so that the navigational information indicates how to avoid obstacles by directing the driver around them. Obstacles also may be visually highlighted.

  • Publication number: 20100242133
Abstract: The invention relates to the use of a mutation for the generation of virus-resistant mutant plants and, specifically, to the use of mutation 8.1 of the AtDBP1 gene of Arabidopsis thaliana in order to modify the phenotype of the plant as a regulator of plant potyvirus resistance, as well as to the resulting genetically modified plants having greater potyvirus infection resistance than unmodified plants.

  • Patent number: 5243036
Abstract: A process for obtaining polymers with antiviral activity is disclosed. Molecules carrying carbonyl groups and hydroxyl groups in the .alpha. position relative to the carbonyl, and molecules carrying amino and sulfonated groups, react in water or in mixtures of water with water-miscible solvents. The reaction takes place under specific conditions of temperature, time and pH. The first reacting molecule may be a monosaccharide whereas the second reacting molecule may comprise aliphatic aminosulfates. Upon completion of the reaction the polymeric material is purified by conventional processes such that the polymeric material has a molecular weight between 1,500 and 100,000. The polymeric material has antiviral activity, either lacks or has very low toxicity and anticoagulant activity, and is thus suitable for pharmaceutical preparations for use in topical or systemic antiviral therapy in humans or animals.
