  • Patent number: 11946707
Abstract: A heat transfer plate comprises upper, center and lower end portions, the latter adjoining the center portion along an upper borderline and comprising first and second portholes and a distribution area having a distribution pattern. The distribution pattern comprises distribution ridges, a respective top portion of which extends in a plane and has rounded first, second, third and fourth corners. The distribution ridges extend along plural separated imaginary ridge lines from the upper borderline towards the first porthole. For each of a number of the distribution ridges extending along a top ridge line closest to the second porthole, the first corner's curvature radius is larger than the second corner's curvature radius, the first/second corners are on opposite sides of the top ridge line, the second corner is closer to the second porthole than the first corner, and the first/third corners are on the same side of the top ridge line.

  • Publication number: 20230400257
Abstract: A heat transfer plate comprises an upper end portion adjoining a center portion along an upper border line and comprising first and second port holes and an upper distribution pattern comprising upper distribution ridges and valleys. The upper distribution ridges extend along imaginary upper ridge lines from the upper border line towards the first port hole. The upper distribution valleys extend along imaginary upper valley lines from the upper border line towards the second port hole. The imaginary upper ridge lines and valley lines cross in plural upper cross points. In plural upper cross points, the plate extends in an imaginary first intermediate plane. The plate is configured so that a number of first upper cross points on one side of the center axis extends above the first intermediate plane, and a number of second upper cross points on another side of such axis extends below the first intermediate plane.

  • Patent number: 10871333
Abstract: A porthole gasket to be installed between a corrugated first plate and a second plate of a heat exchanger such that a central extension plane of the gasket is parallel to the first and second plates is annular and arranged to enclose, within the gasket inner periphery, porthole areas of the first and second plates. A first surface of the gasket, configured to engage the first plate, is corrugated to define alternately arranged gasket ridges and gasket valleys along a longitudinal extension of the gasket. The ridges and valleys mate with plate valleys and plate ridges, respectively, of the first plate. A second surface of the gasket, configured to engage a plate arrangement comprising the second plate, is essentially plane and arranged to contact an essentially plane surface of the plate arrangement. The ridges protrude, and the valleys descend, in a normal direction of the central extension plane.
