Abstract: Examples described relate to deployment of virtual machines in a cloud. In an example, receipt of a request for deployment of a virtual machine in a cloud computing environment may be determined, wherein the cloud computing environment includes a plurality of hypervisors hosted on a plurality of racks. Based on a current usage of respective hypervisors of the plurality of hypervisors, a hypervisor that meets the requirement of the virtual machine may be identified, and the virtual machine may be deployed on the hypervisor.
