  • Publication number: 20200369556
Abstract: An optical fiber manufacturing method includes a first process of passing a glass fiber through a fiber path. The fiber path is formed through a cooling tube that is housed in a first casing. The method also includes a second process of leading the glass fiber into a second casing before leading into the first casing. The first process includes supplying a first dry gas, having a dew point lower than the temperature of the cooling tube, into a first dry space formed between the first casing and the cooling tube. The second process includes supplying a second dry gas into a second dry space formed inside the second casing so as to cause air pressure in the second dry space to be higher than air pressure in an external space. The dew point of the second dry gas is lower than the dew point in the external space.

  • Publication number: 20200258662
Abstract: A method of making a heater includes an aluminum nitride base having equal to or less than 1% impurities, particularly one embodiment having none of polybrominated biphenyl, polybrominated diphenyl ether, hexabromocyclododecane, polyvinyl chloride, chlorinated paraffin, phthalate, cadmium, hexavalent chromium, lead, and mercury. The base is fired in a heating unit before any layering. Thereafter, on a topside and backside of the base a conductor layer is layered and allowed to settle and dry before firing. Next, a resistive layer is layered on the base from a resistor paste such that the resistive layer connects to the conductor layer on the topside. The resistor paste is allowed to settle and dry and then the base with the conductor and resistor layers is fired. At least four layers of glass are layered next over the resistive layer, each instance thereof including layering a glass, drying the glass and firing.

At least one resistive trace of silver and palladium overlies the base as does a conductor of silver and platinum or palladium that electrically connects to the resistive trace to apply an external voltage to the resistive trace for heating thereof. At least four, but optionally five, layers of glass overlie the resistive trace and part of the conductor. A first two consecutive layers of the glass layers define a first glass having a solid content of more than 65% and a viscosity of 100 Pa·s or less. The following two or three consecutive layers of the five layers define a second glass dissimilar to the first.

  • Patent number: 10694132
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a solid-state imaging device, a signal processing method, and an electronic device, capable of suppressing an input voltage of comparison apparatus at the time of P-phase input. In the present technology, a signal voltage is clipped at a predetermined voltage (for example, comparative voltage), and the clip is released at the time of D-phase count. With this configuration, the comparative voltage and the signal voltage VSL (initial voltage) do not cross (the comparator is not inverted in the D-phase). Thus, the up/down counter 32 detects this and sets the count of the P-phase to be 0 without counting the P-phase. The present disclosure can be applied to, for example, a CMOS solid-state imaging device.

  • Patent number: 10513087
Abstract: In a press machine vertically moving a ram by turning a threaded member, the ram has a bearing holder that holds a bearing whose outer ring is solidly engaged with the bearing holder and whose inner ring is solidly fitted to a lower end part of the threaded member. A fine clearance is formed between a lower face of the threaded member and a bottom face of the bearing holder so that the threaded member and bearing holder are allowed to rotate relative to each other. The fine clearance is set so that, when load is applied to the ram to cause a relative slight movement in a vertical direction between the inner and outer rings of the bearing, the lower face of the threaded member and the bottom face of the bearing holder come into contact with each other.
