  • Patent number: 9230494
Abstract: A multi-primary-color liquid crystal panel driver (100) according to the present invention includes: a multi-primary-color converter (110) which performs a multi-primary-color conversion to convert the grayscale levels of an input video signal in each of a plurality of vertical scanning periods into grayscale levels of four or more primary colors; and an overdrive circuit (120) which sets, based on the grayscale levels that have been subjected to the multi-primary-color conversion in one vertical scanning period and on the grayscale levels that have been subjected to the multi-primary-color conversion in another vertical scanning period that is earlier than the one vertical scanning period by at least one period, the grayscale levels of the four or more primary colors in that one vertical scanning period. The present invention provides a multi-primary-color liquid crystal panel that can improve the display quality even when the input video signal has varying grayscale levels.

  • Publication number: 20150325165
Abstract: A display device is disclosed, along with a display method capable of displaying an input image having a resolution higher than the resolution of a display panel without degradation in display quality. The display device is a display device for displaying an image with each frame divided into two sub-frames. In the display device, a bright sub-pixel and a dark sub-pixel in each pixel are interchanged every sub-frame, and an input signal has a vertical resolution twice that of a display panel. The display device displays an image corresponding to the input signal by making the sub-frames different from each other in a voltage supplied to each pixel.

  • Publication number: 20150235615
Abstract: A multi-primary color display device (100) includes: a multi-primary color display panel (10) including a pixel that is defined by a plurality of sub pixels including a red sub pixel (R), a green sub pixel (G), a blue sub pixel (B), and a yellow sub pixel (Ye); and a signal converting circuit (20) converting a three-primary color image signal corresponding to three primary colors into a multi-primary color image signal corresponding to four or more primary colors. The signal converting circuit (20), in a case where a three-primary color image signal representing at least an achromatic color of a half tone is input, performs a signal conversion such that variations in luminance levels of the plurality of sub pixels are equalized.

  • Patent number: 9058783
Abstract: This liquid crystal display device (100) includes a pixel defined by a plurality of subpixels that includes red, green, blue and yellow subpixels (R, G, B, Ye). As long as the sum of respective luminances of all of the subpixels but the blue subpixel (B) falls within the range of 0% to 50% while the color displayed by the pixel is changing from the color blue in which the blue subpixel (B) is at the highest grayscale level and the other subpixels are at the lowest grayscale level into the color white in which all of those subpixels are at the highest grayscale level substantially without changing its hue, the yellow subpixel (Ye) starts to increase its grayscale level at a different timing, and/or has its grayscale level increased at a different ratio with respect to an increase in the pixel's luminance, from the red and green subpixels (R, G) do.

  • Publication number: 20150035869
Abstract: In a display apparatus having a liquid crystal panel, a change in luminance of the entire display frame when overshoot driving is performed is suppressed, while improving a viewing angle of the liquid crystal panel. A processing unit performs a high gradation display displaying a gradation higher than a gradation of an input image at one of two adjacent pixels, performs a low gradation display displaying a gradation lower than a gradation of an input image at the other of the two adjacent pixels, and switches between the high gradation display and the low gradation display for each pixel every display frame. A correction unit corrects a gradation of a pixel located adjacent to a pixel displayed with a gradation for which predetermined overshoot driving is difficult in the next display frame to a gradation for which overshoot driving stronger than the predetermined overshoot driving is possible.

  • Patent number: 8936317
Abstract: A waist receiving portion, which is provided at a support member, is curved to form a convex shape toward a front side in a seat front and rear direction in side view. Accordingly, when a waist portion of an occupant is pressed against the waist receiving portion, the change of the shape of lumbar vertebrae is suppressed. For this reason, since it is possible to reduce the difference between a timing when a head portion of the occupant is pressed against a headrest and a timing when a neck portion of the occupant is pressed against a neck receiving portion, it is possible to suppress swing of the head portion of the occupant about the neck portion as a fulcrum in the seat front and rear direction. Therefore, a burden to the neck portion of the occupant is reduced.

  • Patent number: 8876206
Abstract: A vehicle seatback including a seatback frame provided with a pair of seatback side frame portions and a seatback upper frame portion that connects together upper end portions of the pair of seatback upper frame portions along the seat width direction, and a support member attached to the seatback frame. The support member is provided with a lower neck bearing portion covering the seatback upper frame portion, and a shoulder bearing portion disposed further towards the front than the seatback upper frame portion in the seat front-rear direction. When a load of a specific value or greater acts on the occupant towards the rear in the seat front-rear direction, the shoulder regions of the occupant are pressed against the shoulder bearing portion, suppressing movement of the occupant towards the rear in the seat front-rear direction.

  • Publication number: 20140297076
Abstract: An inverted pendulum type vehicle capable of improving consistency of the intention of an operator and the motion condition of the vehicle. When a low frequency component of an estimate value Vb_estm1_y of the translational speed in the Y-axis direction of a vehicle system center of gravity of the entirety deviates from a dead zone of a processing unit and movement of the waist of an operator is sudden enough to generate a high frequency component in Vb_estm1_y, a target turning angular velocity ?z_cmd_gc is set to a positive value or a negative value depending on the deviation amount, and a turning suppression factor K?z is adjusted to 0. Therefore, motion of actuator devices of a vehicle is controlled so that turning of the vehicle is suppressed and the vehicle system center of gravity of the entirety is translated to +Y-axis direction.

  • Publication number: 20140297124
Abstract: An inverted pendulum type vehicle capable of dissipating the dissociation of vehicle steering intention of a user and a vehicle motion condition. When a base tilts toward a first designated direction, gravity center shift effect amount Vofs_x is corrected by a gravity center shift correction amount Vdep_x calculated according to the tilting amount. The gravity center shift correction amount Vdep_x with respect to a second designated direction is determined so as to increase as the tilting amount toward the first designated direction of the base. Further, the gravity center shift effect amount Vdep_x determined by tilting toward the first designated direction of the base is controlled to a threshold value or less.
