  • Publication number: 20060151438
Abstract: A puffer type gas circuit breaker has a piston, which is connected with a center shaft via a link mechanism. At an initial stage of an interruption operation, the link mechanism drives a puffer cylinder and the piston both in an interruption direction while maintaining an almost constant distance therebetween. Even when a pressure rise occurs in a compression chamber by the heat of an arc generated in accordance with opening between a fixed arc contact and a movable arc contact, the pressure rise does not become an operation counterforce to an operator. At a final stage of the interruption operation where the fixed arc contact is removed from a throat of an insulating nozzle, the link mechanism drives the piston in an almost stopped status.

  • Patent number: 6245190
Abstract: A plasma processing apparatus and a method therefor which can achieve a preferred process rate, a fine pattern process capability, a selectivity and uniformity of processing at the same time compatibly for a large size wafer, which effects are achieved by controlling the plasma state and the dissociation state of etching gas through control of the electron resonance through application of a magnetic field thereto. A high frequency power at 20-300 MHz is applied across a pair of electrodes in a vacuum process chamber, and a magnetic field is formed parallel to the plane of the electrodes in the space between the electrodes. By controlling the intensity of the magnetic field in a range of 100 gauss or smaller, formation of electron cyclotron resonance and electron sheath resonance occurring from interaction between the electrical field and the magnetic field in the electrode sheath portion is controlled. • Patent number: 6069762
Abstract: In a magnetic recording drive having a plurality of magnetic heads each employing a magnetoresistive sensor for the purpose of averaging the time required for sense currents to be caused to flow through the respective magnetoresistive sensors to shorten the longest reproducing time and to suppress the degradation of the characteristics due to the electromigration, thereby improving the reliability of the magnetic recording drive, the magnetic recording drive includes circuits for averaging the useful life depending on the currents caused to flow through the respective magnetoresistive sensors among the plurality of magnetic heads, whereby the time required for the sense current to be caused to flow through one MR reproducing head is greatly shortened. Therefore, the levels of outputs of the MR reproducing heads can be increased without reduction of the reliability and thus the reliability of the magnetic recording drive can be improved.

  • Patent number: 5363829
Abstract: A small, light and low cost ignition distributor having improved rotary detection accuracy can be realized. A pole piece having a pickup coil wound on it and bypass pole pieces having no pickup coil are arranged on the ignition distributor. The distance between the pole piece having a pickup coil and the bypass pole pieces is about 1.5 times as long as the distance between protrusions formed on the peripheral portion of a rotary body. When the distance between the pole piece having a pickup coil and a reluctor is minimum, the distance between the bypass pole pieces and the reluctor is maximum, and the linkage of magnetic flux of the pickup coil is maximum. When the distance between the pole piece having a pickup coil and the reluctor is maximum, the distance between the bypass pole pieces and the reluctor is minimum, and the magnetic flux bypasses the pole piece having a pickup coil and passes through the bypass pole pieces.

  • Patent number: 5008761
Abstract: A readout circuit in magnetic recording device is disclosed, in which a test data signal for detecting an error in the characteristics of an automatic equalizer is recorded in a predetermined position of each track of a magnetic recording medium. In readout mode, a test data signal for a selected track is read out first, and this signal is compared with a reference signal dependent on the system conditions to determine an error from the reference signal. The optimum equalization coefficient is determined to eliminate this error from the reference signal and set in the equalizer. The data is readout under the optimum equalization characteristics thus set.
