  • Patent number: 7653404
Abstract: To provide a technique for analyzing radio wave condition affording improved accuracy of discrimination of radio wave propagation condition on a per-channel basis. Analyzer device 10 for analyzing the condition of radio waves used for wireless LAN communications comprises a reception portion 410 for receiving radio signals in a plurality of frequency bands; a first strength sensing portion 420 for sensing the field strength RSS1 of the center frequency band on a per-channel basis from a received radio signal; a despreading portion 430 for despreading the received radio signal; a second strength sensing portion 440 for sensing the field strength RSSI2 of the center frequency band on a per-channel basis from the despread radio signal; a discriminating portion 450 for discriminating radio wave condition by cross-checking RSSI1 and RSSI2 on a per-channel basis; and a display portion 460 for displaying the discriminated radio wave condition.

  • Patent number: 7366149
Abstract: The system of the present invention enables a user moving with a terminal to utilize multiple access points located at mutually separate spots and thereby efficiently acquire a desired Web content. The user of a terminal 50 or 60 moves from one free spot (first communication area AR1) to another free spot (second communication area AR2). Prior to the movement, the user of the terminal 50 or 60 gains off-line access to an access point 20 in the first communication area AR1 and reserves acquisition of a desired Web content. The access point 20 accepts the reservation and transmits reservation information to another access point 120 in the second communication area AR2. The access point 120 gains on-line access to a Web server based on the received reservation information and acquires the reserved Web content. After the move, the user of the terminal 50 or 60 gains off-line access to the access point 120 and picks up the desired Web content.

  • Patent number: 6292649
Abstract: The invention provides a continuous medium printing apparatus which can exert a transporting force to act upon a continuous medium without additional provision of a new tractor mechanism or some other transport mechanism. In the continuous medium printing apparatus, upon automatic loading of a continuous medium, a control section controls a charging operation of a charging section so that a leading end portion of the continuous medium may be electrostatically attracted to an image forming drum. The image forming drum to which the continuous medium is attracted is rotated in a printing transporting direction to exert a transporting force to act upon the continuous medium to transport the continuous medium in the printing transporting direction. The present invention is applicable to an apparatus which prints on a continuous medium such as continuous recording paper (continuous paper), for example, by electrophotography.

  • Patent number: 5659871
Abstract: A toner image carrying member is disposed beside the substantially mid-point of a delivery path for continuous paper. A first delivery device and second delivery device are disposed upstream and downstream of the toner image carrying member in a delivery direction of the continuous paper, respectively. The delivery speed of the second delivery device in the delivery direction is controlled to be greater than the delivery speed of the first delivery device, thereby imparting tension to the continuous paper.
