    Abstract: The optical system includes an aperture stop, a plurality of lenses disposed on an enlargement conjugate side further than the aperture stop, and at least one lens disposed on a reduction conjugate side further than the aperture stop. The plurality of lenses includes, in order from the enlargement conjugate side to the reduction conjugate side, a first movable negative lens unit and a second movable negative lens unit each having a negative refractive power for changing field curvature by being moved in an optical axis direction of the optical system. The first and second movable negative lens units are moved such that at least one of their movement directions and their movement amounts are mutually different. The movement of the first and second movable negative lens units causes no change in conjugate length of an entire system of the optical system.

    Abstract: A rotary electrical machine includes a switch for supplying power to a field winding and controller. A ratio of an on-time to one switching cycle of the switch is defined as a duty ratio, and a duty ratio which is larger than the duty ratio corresponding to the field current that gives the maximum reduction amount of the inductance of the field winding with respect to an increasing amount of the field current in a range that the current can take and has a value less than 100% is set as a predetermined value. The controller calculates the duty ratio wherein an upper limit of the ratio is the predetermined value and turns on/off the switch based on the calculated duty ratio. Also, a relay and abnormality detection part that detects abnormality in the switch. The relay is switched to off in response to the occurrence of abnormality being detected.

The planetary gear performs a planetary motion while engaging with a driving rotor and a driven rotor at an eccentric side to adjust a rotational phase between the driving rotor and the driven rotor. The thrust bearing portion supports the planetary gear that is tilting with respect to the revolution centerline. The planetary gear has a recessed portion opened toward the thrust bearing portion. When the rotational phase is adjusted to a specific phase, the recessed portion is positioned at an anti-eccentric side opposite to the eccentric side with respect to a rotation centerline of the planetary gear.
