Abstract: A system and method for automatically configuring a display device for an endoscopic procedure. The system includes: a video processing device for receiving image signals of an object from an endoscope device. A first converting device converts the image signals provided by a standard definition endoscope device into first resolution video image signals for display on a display device; or, converts image signals provided by a high definition endoscope device into second higher resolution video image signals for display. A second converting device converts the second higher resolution video image signals into first resolution video image signals image signals. A processing node receives: the first resolution video image signals from either the first converter means, or from the second converter means. An image capture means at the processing node captures still images of the first resolution video image signals received.

Abstract: An endoscopic examination system consists mainly of an examination terminal, a report input/output terminal, and a server. The examination terminal is connected to endoscopic examination equipment. The report input/output terminal is used to enter environmental information concerning the details of an environment under which an endoscopic examination is performed (an examining doctor's name, a name of equipment employed, etc.), and reporting information concerning the results of an endoscopic examination (findings, diagnosis, etc.). The examination data (endoscopic image data, etc.) sent from the examination terminal, and the reporting information and examination request sent from the report input/output terminal server are preserved in the server.

Abstract: The endoscope image filing system is constituted of an endoscope apparatus for obtaining endoscope images and an image filing device which is connected to the endoscope apparatus and which is for recording desired endoscope images. The image filing device registers endoscope image data that is related with medical data on an endoscope examination (examination data), registers an examination report created by combining the medical data (examination data) with examined images generated from the endoscope image data, and is capable of building a database for registering distribution destination data for this examination report on a hard disk. The image filing device is then capable of outputting the created examination report to an external network, on the basis of the distribution destination data.

The personal computer searches and displays examination information in accordance with a search condition input by the keyboard and/or the mouse. In addition, the personal computer searches and displays examination information by changing a search range under a predetermined condition with respect to the search condition.

The cleaning apparatus is capable of transmitting cleaning information to the image filing apparatus.

Abstract: A patient information deleting setting screen is provided to set a condition to delete unnecessary patient information, and a term for which patient information is registered but the endoscope examination has not been performed is set as a deleting condition. The deleting condition is recorded and, upon starting an endoscope image filing system next time, the patient information under the deleting condition is automatically deleted. Thus, the occupation of a database due to the storage of the unnecessary patient information is prevented and the operability is improved to search the patient information for a short time.
