  • Publication number: 20120253717
Abstract: A battery voltage detector includes: a voltage detection circuit; a voltage processor; and a power voltage. The voltage detection circuit is configured to detect a cell voltage of a battery cell. The voltage processor is configured to perform analog-to-digital conversion on the cell voltage with a predetermined period to collect cell voltage detection data. The power voltage monitoring circuit is configured to determine whether or not an instantaneous variation of an externally-supplied power voltage occurs, and output an instantaneous variation detection signal indicating a result of detection to the voltage processor. If the voltage processor detects based on the instantaneous variation detection signal that the instantaneous variation of the externally-supplied power voltage occurs, the voltage processor is configured to delete the cell voltage detection data that is the newest.

  • Patent number: 6880505
Abstract: Due to the fact that a regulator engages with an engagement aperture when hydraulic pressure is low due to unexpected decreases in engine rotation frequency during relative turning of a valve timing control device, the valve timing control device re-enters a regulated state. Control and running of regulation or release of relative rotation position of the valve timing control device by a regulator are performed by an external device distinct from the valve timing control device.

  • Patent number: 6829134
Abstract: A highly reliable monolithic ceramic capacitor which has no structural defect, e.g. peeling, and which is not susceptible to water from the outside and a method for manufacturing the same are provided. A lead portion of an internal electrode is configured to have a shape provided with a taper-shaped portion in which the width gradually decreases with increasing proximity to the end surface of a ceramic element, and the shape of the end portion opposite to the lead portion of the internal electrode is adjusted to be substantially rectangular. Regarding a pair of internal electrodes facing each other with the ceramic layer therebetween, the internal electrodes are laminated while the positions thereof are displaced with respect to each other in order that a corner portion in the substantially rectangular portion of one internal electrode are located in the vicinity of, but outside the taper-shaped portion of the other internal electrode.

  • Patent number: 6460496
Abstract: A valve timing control device includes a purge path communicating between a hydraulic chamber allowing the entry of hydraulic pressure on starting an engine and a backward pressurized section in an accommodation hole. When the hydraulic chamber allowing the entry of hydraulic pressure on starting the engine is the retardation side hydraulic chamber, a hydraulic pressure derived from an oil pump is supplied to the retardation side hydraulic chamber on starting the engine. On the way, air-mixed oil is discharged to outside of the device by way of a purge path, a backward pressurized section in the accommodation hole and the discharge hole. When the air is discharged, a residual pressure is produced in the backward pressurized section due to oil supplied thereto. The residual pressure results in the increase of an unlocking hydraulic pressure to prevent a locking member from being unlocked.

  • Patent number: 6456968
Abstract: A band splitting section a01 splits an encoder input signal s00, entered into a subband encoding apparatus, into k band components. The band splitting section a01 outputs a subband signal s01 for each of n (<k) split bands, where n is determined by a processible upper-limit frequency on each application. A scale factor producing section a02 detects a maximum amplitude level of the subband signal s01 for each of n split bands. Then, the scale factor producing section a02 produces scale factor information s02 representing a normalized scale factor. A bit allocation producing section a04 outputs bit allocation information s04 for each of n split bands. A bit allocation value 0 is assigned to each of (n+1) to k split bands. A requantizng section a06 requalizes the subband signal s01 for each split band. A frame constructing section a07 constructs a coded frame.

  • Patent number: 6382157
Abstract: A valve timing control device has a case rotating in synchronization with a crankshaft of an engine. A plurality of projections, which project outwardly in a radial direction of the case, are arranged on an outer circumferential portion of the case at regular intervals. The projection is a chuck site allowing the engagement of a chuck tool of an automatic machine used for an auto-assembly work, the chuck tool being operated in the radial direction. A tapered face is formed at a side, close to the chuck tool, of the projection, the tapered face easily allowing the engagement of the chuck tool when the chuck tool proceeds toward the device.

  • Patent number: 6334415
Abstract: Since the conventionally the chip seal 14, 16 and the metallic blade spring 15, 17 have been formed separately, assembly efficiency has been poor (for example when the chip seal 14, 16 is inserted, the metallic blade spring 15, 17 detaches and falls out) which lowers productivity. As a result, the cross sectional shape of the chip seal 21 which pushes against the rotor 13 is made in the shape of a letter L.
