With such a mechanical arrangement, when the first housing (1) is placed on a work surface and the second housing (2) is opened, the side part of the first housing (1) which is closer to the a first hinge part (1f) is raised.

The user becomes aware of the blinking warning indication means and recognizes a warning issued by a portable communication terminal 24. Based on the recognition, the user can also know more detailed warning contents by seeing an LCD section during the conversation.

    Abstract: A lamp holder 11 is made of white synthetic resin by molding such as injection molding. A reflection sheet 12 made of high-reflectance material such as silver or aluminum has a central portion 12a cut out and is affixed to an inner surface 11a of the lamp holder 11. The light reached the inner surface of the lamp holder 11 of light emitted from a lamp 1 is regularly reflected by the reflection sheet 12 and is diffusively reflected by the cutout portion of the reflection sheet 12. A considerable part of the light reflected on the white surface reaches the vicinity of electrode portions 1a of a discharge tube 1 to enter from an incidence end surface of a light guide in the vicinity of electrode portions 1a. Thus, the difference of light-supplying power between the central portion and the end portions (in the vicinity of the electrode portions 1a) of the lamp is compensated.

    Abstract: A process for preparing an expandable resin composition comprising the following steps:(a) admixing, at a temperature in the range of about 120 to about 130 degrees C., the following components:(i) 100 parts by weight of a high pressure, low density homopolymer of ethylene;(ii) about 30 to about 200 parts by weight of a high density polyethylene having a melting point higher than the above mixing temperature;(iii) about 2 to about 50 parts by weight of polypropylene having a DSC melting point of not less than about 140 degrees C.; and(iv) about 0.1 to about 2 parts by weight of a silane coupling agent; and(b) admixing, at a temperature in the range of about 120 to about 130 degrees C., 100 parts by weight of the mixture produced in step (a) with 0.5 to 3 parts by weight of one or more chemical blowing agents having a decomposition temperature higher than the above mixing temperature.

    Abstract: A headlamp testing method of the invention involves the steps of applying the low beam of the headlamp onto a screen, determining the position of the geometrical center of a closed area of illuminance higher than a predetermined level, determining the position of a cut off line cross point from the position of the geometrical center and a predetermined amount of offset, and determining a presumption line cut off line from the cut off line cross point. The presumption line thus determined is displayed together with a mark which indicates the within which the cross point should fall, and the headlamp beam is judged as being acceptable when the cross point is located within this range.

    Abstract: A method of examining the state of alignment of headlamp beam axis has the following steps: taking up by a TV camera the image of the light distribution pattern of a headlamp beam on a screen; specifying a closed curved area of illumination intensities higher than a predetermined level in the taken-up image of the light distribution pattern; determining the position of the geometrical center of the specified closed curved area and displaying the position of the geometrical center on a monitor TV; measuring the area of the specified closed curved area; comparing the measured actual area of the closed curved area with a command area; adjusting the quantity of light received by the TV camera in accordance with the result of the comparison until the measured actual area of the closed curved area becomes equal to the command area; and displaying, on a monitor TV, a pattern representing the allowable range and a mark representing the position of the beam axis.

    Abstract: Disclosed is a method of correcting the position of a TV camera for taking up the image of an object to produce video signals of the image, suitable for use in, for example, automotive headlamp beam testing system. The images of reference points which are provided for the purpose of correcting the TV camera position are taken up by the TV camera. Then, the position data representing the positions of the reference points in the field of vision of the TV camera is determined. The position data are compared with predetermined reference point data representing the positions of the reference points in the field of vision of the TV camera as obtained when the TV camera is in the correct position, thereby determining the amount of deviation of the TV camera. Then, the driving unit is operated in accordance with the thus determined amount of deviation to adjust the optical axis of said TV camera so as to eliminate the deviation of the TV camera position.

The method comprises steps of providing an electrically conductive substrate, providing a first layer provided on the substrate for preventing injection of electrons into the photoreceptor from the substrate, providing a second layer of amorphous silicon provided on the first layer for determining charging characteristic of photoreceptor and providing a third layer for preventing injection of holes into the photoreceptor from the surface thereof and for effecting passivation of the surface. The second layer is subjected to doping of boron, which is effected by introducing a mixed gas of boron and silicon with a ratio of 0.2-2 ppm into a growth chamber.
