  • Patent number: 11133557
Abstract: An on-vehicle battery pack in which a battery module is housed with a gas release plane facing an inner surface of a sidewall portion of a pack case with a space therebetween, and a restriction plate includes a first plate portion protruding toward the sidewall portion at a height position higher than at least an upper edge of the gas release plane, and a second plate portion extending downwards in the space continuously from a front edge of the first plate portion in a direction in which the first plate portion protrudes.

  • Patent number: 11050107
Abstract: A method for assembling a battery pack having a cell group includes stacking the plurality of the unit cells such that distal end portions of the electrode tabs of the unit cells are bent along a stacking direction, disposing a pair of first cover members both ends of the unit cells in the stacking direction, disposing a pair of second cover members on both ends of the unit cells in a direction that intersects with the stacking direction, welding the first and second cover members while the cell group is pressurized using the first cover members. The welding of the first cover members and the second cover members is performed prior to electrically connecting the unit cells by a bus bar. The method further includes laser-welding the bus bar to distal end portions of the electrode tabs after the first cover members and the second cover members are welded.

  • Publication number: 20210043981
Abstract: A battery module includes a cell stack in which a plurality of plate-shaped cells is stacked such that each main surface, which is a surface of each of the plate-shaped cells in a cell thickness direction, faces one another.

  • Patent number: 10622603
Abstract: A battery pack includes battery modules and a base member on which the battery modules are mounted. The battery modules include a plurality of unit cells are stacked in a thickness direction, have a flat shape and positive and negative terminals for transferring input and output of electric power. The terminals are disposed on an opposite side of the base member side in the battery module. The unit cells include a cell body that includes a power generation element and an electrode tab. The battery module includes a pair of first cover members in the stacking direction and a pair of second cover members in a direction that intersects with the stacking direction and that intersects with a direction in which the electrode tab extends. The second cover members are joined to the first cover members while the stacked unit cells are pressurized in the stacking direction.
