VEHICLE SURROUNDINGS MONITORING DEVICE, VEHICLE SURROUNDINGS MONITORING METHOD, AND RECORDING MEDIUM
Publication number: 20240249568Abstract: A vehicle surroundings monitoring device measures coordinates of an obstacle on a first coordinate system on the basis of a position of the vehicle at a first time point at which a transmission wave is output and a position of the vehicle at a second time point at which a reflected wave of the transmission wave is detected. The monitoring device writes, to a storage device, coordinates of the obstacle on a second coordinate system having a resolution lower than a resolution of the first coordinate system when power turn-off of the vehicle is detected. The monitoring device reads, from the storage device, the coordinates of the obstacle on the second coordinate system when power turn-on of the vehicle is detected. The monitoring device determines whether the vehicle and the obstacle come into contact with each other by using the coordinates of the obstacle read from the storage device.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 3, 2024Publication date: July 25, 2024Inventors: Takeo TOMIDA, Manabu NAKAKITA, Yoshito HIRAI, Wataru HIRATA -
Patent number: 11643069Abstract: A vehicle is configured to assist parking at a predetermined position by generating a path to the predetermined position and changing, based on the path, at least a vehicle wheel angle of a steered wheel. The vehicle includes: at least one steered wheel; at least one driven wheel; a power unit configured to provide a driving force to the driven wheel; and an operation device configured to receive at least an operation of changing power of the power unit. Before the predetermined position on the path, the vehicle wheel angle of the steered wheel is changed based on the path. If the vehicle travels beyond the predetermined position of the path, the vehicle wheel angle of the steered wheel is changed to allow the vehicle to advance in a tangential direction of the predetermined position of the path.Type: GrantFiled: June 25, 2020Date of Patent: May 9, 2023Assignee: PANASONIC INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY MANAGEMENT CO., LTD.Inventors: Yuya Hamai, Akihiro Morimoto, Manabu Nakakita

Patent number: 11321971Abstract: When a gearshift of a vehicle is in drive, a video image of a movement state of the vehicle moving forward depending on the rotation of the wheels detected by a wheel rotation sensor is displayed on a monitor. Thereafter, when the gearshift is in neutral, a video image of a movement state of the vehicle moving forward depending on the rotation of the wheels is displayed on the monitor. When the gearshift is in rear where the vehicle moves in a second direction opposite to a first direction, a video image of a movement state of the vehicle moving in the second direction depending on the rotation of the wheels is displayed on the monitor. Thereafter, when the gearshift is in neutral, a video image of a movement state of the vehicle moving in the second direction depending on the rotation of the wheels is displayed on the monitor.Type: GrantFiled: March 24, 2020Date of Patent: May 3, 2022Assignee: PANASONIC INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY MANAGEMENT CO., LTD.Inventors: Akihiro Morimoto, Takanobu Ito, Manabu Nakakita, Yuya Hamai

Publication number: 20190337506Abstract: A parking control device includes a controller and a notification unit. The controller executes a parking assistance control for making a vehicle travel from a drop-off position of an occupant of the vehicle to a parking space that is preliminarily determined and making the vehicle be parked in the parking space by automated driving. The controller ceases the parking assistance control in a case where an obstacle is present on a traveling route of the vehicle including the parking space. The notification unit provides a notification that the parking assistance control is stopped. The notification unit transmits information indicating that the parking assistance control is ceased to a device having identification information preliminarily associated with identification information of the vehicle.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 18, 2019Publication date: November 7, 2019Inventors: TAKAHIRO SHIMA, SATOSHI FUKUMOTO, YUSAKU TADA, MASATO INOUE, MANABU NAKAKITA

Patent number: 9837834Abstract: The battery system is a combined system of a first battery and a second battery. The discharging curve (discharging characteristic) (311) of the first battery has a stable region (B1). The discharging curve (discharging characteristic) (321) of the second battery has a stable region (B2) in the range of voltage lower than the voltage in the stable region (B1) of the first battery and also has an unstable region (A2) in the range of voltage overlapping the voltage in the stable region (B1) of the first battery. The first battery and the second battery are connected in parallel so that, in a discharging process, the discharging state of the entire battery shifts from the stable region (B1) of the first battery to the stable region (B2) of the second battery.Type: GrantFiled: March 20, 2014Date of Patent: December 5, 2017Assignee: PANASONIC INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY MANAGEMENT CO., LTD.Inventors: Shigeyuki Sugiyama, Mamoru Aoki, Manabu Nakakita, Kazushige Kakutani, Takuma Iida
