  • Patent number: 6259343
Abstract: With a high-grade plastic component, e.g. a plastic-bonded permanent magnet (1; 2), which is fixed to a basic body (4; 5), the basic body (4; 5) shows at least one strap-shaped part (7; 8) for the purpose of fixing it to the plastic component. In order to avoid the plastic component (1; 2) tearing off the basic body (4; 5), the strap-shaped part (7; 8) is surrounded with the high-grade plastic during manufacture of the plastic component and is arranged in the high-grade plastic in such a way that it can take up contraction strains of the high-grade plastic after manufacture of the plastic component at least partly by bending.

  • Patent number: 6198372
Abstract: A plastic-bonded ring magnet (1) with a ring-shaped basic body (2) for fixing the magnet (1) onto a shaft is laid out in such a way that the magnet (1) is essentially located at the front (11) of the basic body (2), the inside diameter of the basic body (2) being smaller than the one of the magnet and the outside diameter of the basic body (2) and the magnet (1) being essentially identical. • Patent number: 5942730
Abstract: A threaded cable joint for a cable having a cable shield enclosing an internal conductor region. The cable joint, which may be connected to a housing, has a connection piece and an outer pressure element. The outer pressure element is screw-connected to the connection piece, and acts on a seal to cause the seal to abut against the cable as the cable passes through the threaded cable joint. A number of shield contact elements are arranged within the connection piece, and in electrical contact with the connection piece. The shield contact elements include conductive contact bows that extend in the direction of the passed-through cable for contacting the cable shield at a first contact point, thus forming a direct electrical connection between the cable shield and the connection piece.

  • Patent number: 5193505
Abstract: A fuel injection pump for internal combustion engines which has a supply volume adjusting mechanism, being adjustable via a starting lever, an adjusting lever, and a tensioning lever. The starting lever is supported on the tensioning lever via a starting spring, and at non-operation of the engine, the starting spring is supported on a lever stop. To set the optimum amount of fuel to be injected at starting of the engine, which must be reduced at hot start, as opposed to a cold start, the lever stop is forcibly coupled with the adjusting lever such that the lever stop is moved by a swivel movement of the adjusting lever from a first end position to a second end position with the end positions being arranged so that the lever stop forces a starting lever position which in the first end position sets an amount of fuel on the supply volume adjusting mechanism as required for the hot start, and in the second end position, the lever stop sets an amount of fuel as required for the cold start.

  • Patent number: 4920938
Abstract: A governor for fuel injection pumps, said governor having two or three cooperating levers used to move a fuel injection quantity control slide. A regulating spring and the idling spring engage the drag lever. A start spring is disposed between the drag lever and the start lever, the start spring is opposed by the force of a flyweight assembly which is speed-dependent. When starting the combustion engine, the start lever, which is connected to the drag lever via a pivot pin, is in an initial position corresponding to a setting of the quantity control slide, which setting is smaller than the full injection quantity. When starting, the quantity control slide is displaced through a first control range to deliver a greater quantity of fuel, up to the full load injection quantities. Thereupon, when instituting a decrease, further displacement of the flyweight assembly results in the quantity control slide being displaced through a second control range in the direction of smaller quantities of fuel.

  • Patent number: 4913115
Abstract: When motor vehicles are driven, discontinuities that lead to load spikes arise between overrunning and running under load. The load spikes are avoided by means of a discontinuous increase in fuel quantity, which makes it possible for the engine to come gently to rest in its suspension, to bypass the drive play, and to convert the changes in increased fuel quantity without bucking. By incorporating drag elements into the connection between the arbitrary actuation of an intermediate lever, which affects the fuel injection quantity, and an idling stop, a discontinuous adjustment of the intermediate lever is attained.

  • Patent number: 4884542
Abstract: In a fuel injection pump for internal combustion engines for motor vehicles, a damping device is provided to eliminate so-called vehicle bucking. The device allows rapid adjusting movements of an rpm adjusting lever, which is connected to the driving lever, to affect the supply quantity setting of the fuel injection pump only with a delay. To this end, the damping device has a damping chamber defined by a damping cylinder and a damping piston displaceable therein. The damping chamber communicates with the pump interior via two parallel throttles and via counter-parallel check valves located in series with the parallel throttles. The damping piston is connected to a damper lever on which the rpm adjusting lever is supported via a pre-stressed drag spring.

  • Patent number: 4860960
Abstract: Mixing apparatus comprises a container which may be in the form of a hollow cylinder with its axis horizontal. It contains mixing means mounted to rotate within the container about its axis and in addition a pulveriser mounted in the cylindrical wall of the container. Whereas in known mixers of this kind the additional pulveriser comprises so-called knife heads which do not in every case grind down sufficiently rapidly and uniformly the material to be treated, in the mixer now proposed the grinding of the material is improved by the addition of a shearing effect. The pulveriser comprises two concentrically arranged relatively rotatable shearing rings and is in a position to disintegrate even materials which are difficult to treat, such as damp materials, rapidly and at the same time efficiently. Fluid can also be added in the region of the pulveriser without the material being caused to form into lumps.

  • Patent number: 4649879
Abstract: An rpm governor for fuel injection pumps of internal combustion engines having two governor levers, namely a first lever engaged by a governor spring and a second lever which actuates the injection quantity control member and is engaged in the opposite direction from the governor spring by an rpm signal transducer, and having an intermediate spring between the two levers, is proposed, in which the intermediate spring is embodied as a spring package of relatively stiffer and softer springs in line with one another, of which the stiffer spring is effective for brief variations in force while the softer spring is contrarily effective for longer-lasting force effects. Structurally, this is attained by means of a hydraulic or pneumatic damping member (dashpot) which receives the softer spring.
