  • Publication number: 20230407836
Abstract: A floating independent X-shaped self-aligning multiple hydro-generator with maximum thrust surface that generates electrical power by using river and sea currents, regardless of the direction thereof, not requiring a supporting structure on the seabed, and enabling the maintenance thereof above the surface of the water. The hydro-generator of the present invention is formed by at least one floating X-shaped structure with four arms, there being at the end of each an electrical generator driven by a mechanism for the conversion of the linear movement of a fluid into the rotational movement of a shaft, the conversion mechanisms being arranged in a clockwise direction around the shaft of the X-shaped structure, each of these being configured for an alternating clockwise or counter-clockwise direction of rotation, having a tube attached to the lower side of the X-shaped structure with a plate attached thereto.

  • Publication number: 20130173479
Abstract: System and method of diagnosis of incidents and provision of technical support in a communication service which gathers information both from the user and from previous incidents whose information is stored in a database, and provides an identification of the problem, as well as a solution if possible, by dynamically determining data about the incident and requesting information according to the data.

  • Publication number: 20120323735
Abstract: Disclosed is a system and method for allowing a customer to send payment to a merchant. The method or system may comprise submitting order data from a customer computer to a merchant server. Merchant credentials and order data may be sent to a clearinghouse server. A clearinghouse token URL may be sent to the merchant server. A customer's web browser may be redirected to a clearinghouse gateway using the token URL. A financial institution token URI, may be sent to the customer computer. A customer's web browser may be redirected to a financial institution gateway using the financial institution token URL. A financial institution may be sent to the financial institution token URL. The financial institution token may be sent to the clearinghouse server to validate the financial institution token URL. A payment request may be sent to the financial institution to authorize the financial institution to authorize payment to the merchant.

  • Patent number: 8239330
Abstract: An automated payment system and clearinghouse for effecting payment on online transactions without having to divulge sensitive financial information to a merchant. The payment system and clearinghouse provides a secure and safe vehicle to perform e-commerce transactions worldwide independently of the customer and merchant locations. This allows banks to offer their clients a new and alternative way to pay for internet purchases without the need to use a credit card or to divulge credit-card information or bank account information.

  • Publication number: 20120102597
Abstract: Process for the production of transgenic plants that have high content and yield of starch and biomass. The starch synthases (SSs) in plants (including SSIV) and glycogen synthase (GlgA) in bacteria catalyse the transfer of the glucosidic part of the ADP-Glucose molecule (the activated donor of glucose) to a pre-existing ?(1, 4)-glucan. However, in contrast to the other SSs, SSIV is able to add glucose units to maltotriose. Also, in contrast to other soluble SSs, SSIV is bound to the starch granule. This invention describes for the first time how to obtain plants that have high levels and yields of starch and biomass as a consequence of the expression of genes coding for SSIV.

  • Patent number: 5109724
Abstract: A micromanipulator for the displacement of a sample carrier according to different degrees of freedom by means of displacement members (26) fixed to elastic bellows (21.sub.1, 21.sub.2, 21.sub.3, 23), which participate in the transmission of movement through a wall (37). At least one rotary movement of the sample carrier is transmitted through the said wall by means of a transmission pin (11.sub.1, 11.sub.2) movable in translation, which is fixed to a said bellows (21.sub.1, 21.sub.2). At least one translatory movement of the sample carrier can also be transmitted by at least one respective transmission pin (11.sub.3) movable in translation. The transmission pins operate in the translation mode parallel to a single direction. The sample carrier can perform on the one hand a translatory displacement and on the other hand a rotary displacement according to a rotation in its plane and according to a rotation by inclination of the said plane.

  • Patent number: 4748932
Abstract: The invention relates to a crucible for growing epitaxial layers having a chemical composition formed by several chemical elements, of which at least one is volatile, by the method of epitaxy from the liquid phase, comprising an elongated support (72) on which a movable part (73) slides longitudinally, with the elongated support comprising at least one recess for accommodating a substrate (76) on which at least one epitaxial layer is to be deposited. The movable part (73) comprises at least one cavity (77) receiving a mother source (79) formed by initial material for epitaxy with the cavity having on the surface adjoining the elongated support a lower opening whose dimensions correspond to the dimensions of the substrates (76) present therein. At least one receptacle (80) accommodates a source for each volatile element of the chemical composition.
