  • Publication number: 20140244421
Abstract: A methodology, system and business model are disclosed for facilitating a fully automated buyer's auction in which the major types of transaction costs are significantly reduced by providing the buyer and the sellers with near-perfect information about one another, including information about buyer preferences and competing sellers' offers. The system implements a buyer's auction with multidimensional bidding that minimizes market intelligence, search, bargaining and transaction execution costs and thus creates more competitive, frictionless markets. Buyers and sellers can efficiently conduct the buyer's auction within a unified environment, thereby minimizing buyer integration costs as well. The buyer's auction generates commercially marketable proprietary information and a revenue stream for the auctioneer providing such a service.

  • Publication number: 20080264301
Abstract: Coal combustion product cement compositions produced using classes of relatively low-cost industrial by-products and low-value minerals. A variety of highly sustainable cements with low-environmental impact can be provided. Coal combustion by-products and other wastes produced on the large scale from the burning of coal or coal and biomass in coal-fired power stations with or without low-value minerals, processed minerals, and/or by-products of the mining, mineral processing, metal refining, petrochemical, fine chemical, pharmaceutical, agrochemical, biotechnology, food, feed and energy industries, as well as agricultural and municipal by-products, can be utilized to provide improved cements and cementitious materials that are more economic and environmentally friendly than traditional cements including Portland cement.

  • Publication number: 20080264066
Abstract: The invention provides systems, processes and methods for converting heterogeneous coal-fired power plants to cogenerate a sustainable, consistent, and economic cement. Such cogeneration enables a simultaneous production of both electric power and cement and thus provides significant economic and environmental efficiencies and benefits and eliminates a major source of greenhouse gas emissions and thereby mitigates a major contributor to climate change.

  • Publication number: 20070107350
Abstract: An improved radio frequency wave attenuating wall (ceiling or floor) or door material comprises a laminated structure having as an integral part thereof one or more layers of a viscoelastic material which also functions as a glue and one or more electrically conducting layers. An electrically conducting material such as tape or a formed metal channel provides an electrical connection between the electrically conducting material and an exposed outer surface of the laminated structure. In one embodiment the electrically conducting material is paint. In one embodiment , standard wallboard, typically gypsum, comprises the external surfaces of the laminated structure and one or more conductive layers are constructed between the gypsum exterior. In one embodiment, the conducting layer material is selected to provide physical security in addition to radio frequency wave attenuation. The construction is such that acoustical attenuation is also achieved.

  • Publication number: 20070094950
Abstract: An improved acoustical damping wall (ceiling or floor) or door material comprises a laminar structure having as an integral part thereof one or more layers of viscoelastic material which also functions as a glue and one or more constraining layers, such as metal, cellulose, wood, or petroleum-based products such as plastic, vinyl, plastic or rubber. In one embodiment, standard wallboard, typically gypsum, comprises the external surfaces of the laminar structure; and one or more constraining layers are fabricated between the gypsum exterior. The resulting structure improves the attenuation of sound transmitted through the structure.

  • Publication number: 20020026353
Abstract: Purchase information about a product is provided by identifying products in a print advertisement in a print media source; obtaining purchase information about the product; sorting the product in a database; reproducing the print advertisement in an interactive media source; associating the information about the product to the reproduced advertisement in the interactive media source; and providing the information about the product. The product is identified in the print advertisement by a creator of the print advertisement, and the product can be sorted by purchase information obtained from the creator of the advertisement. Also, the information is provided when a user interacts with the reproduced advertisement by electronically indicating one of the products on the reproduced print advertisement using an interactive communications channel.
