  • Patent number: 8490018
Abstract: A method comprises identifying, by a computing device, a current context of a computer program; identifying, by the computing device, any related contexts of the computer program that are related to the current context; determining, by the computing device, association relationships between the current context and the related contexts; determining, by the computing device, a user history of menu choice selection with respect to the current context; updating, by the computing device, the user history based on a user menu choice selection and the association relationships; determining, by the computing device, weighted menu choices for a second context of the computer program based on the user history; and presenting, by the graphic user interface, the weighted menu choices for selection by the user in the second context.

  • Patent number: 8056060
Abstract: A software product is tested by first obtaining a performance matrix for the software product, the performance matrix containing the profile results of a plurality of tests on the software product, and an expected result vector for the plurality of tests. A test sequence is then executed for the software product, the sequence comprising selecting a subset of the plurality of tests, running the test subset to obtain a new result vector for the test subset, comparing the new result vector entry with the expected result vector entry for the same test, selecting a test (which may be one of the subset or may be a new test) according to the outcome of the result vector comparison and the performance matrix, and running the selected test under profile.

  • Patent number: 7962853
Abstract: A method and system for collaborative editing of a document by an author of the document and reviewers. Program code receives from the author an identification of selected portions of the document and receives from the author: comments created by the author and an identification of at least one reviewer to which each comment is directed. The selected portions and the comments are associated with each other on a one-to-one basis. Each comment pertains to content of the selected portion that each comment is associated with. The program code parses the received comments, and utilizes the identification of the at least one reviewer to which each comment is directed, to generate a list of comments specifying for each comment the at least one reviewer to which each comment is directed. The program code makes available to each reviewer the comments on the list of comments directed to each reviewer.

  • Patent number: 7886012
Abstract: Summarization of text in a document may be requested in dependence upon the position of the text in relation to other text within the document or the position of the document containing the text within a plurality of documents in a document structure. Summarization of text in a document may also be requested in dependence upon a user's interaction with an application in conjunction with a version of the document or with a document structure including the document. Different levels of summarization may be applied to different segments of text within a document.

  • Patent number: 7797484
Abstract: A file access manager for scheduling of read/write operations and disk I/O operations for files that must be retrieved from disk storage. The file access manager schedules the operations such that a single file retrieval from disk is required for a plurality of processes to operate on the file. If any of the processes write to the file, a single disk write operation is then performed.

  • Publication number: 20080140788
Abstract: A method for communication forwarding is provided. The method includes determining if a target contact for a communication is unavailable, and ascertaining a plurality of alternative contacts with a relationship to the target contact. The relationship may be a physical proximity and/or a social proximity of the alternative contact to the target contact. The method may include ordering the alternative contacts by their strength of relationship with the target contact.
