    Abstract: A device for measuring the warp yarn tension of a woven fabric in a loom, which includes a fixed deviation bar which extends across the entire loom width and cooperates with a device measuring warp yarn tension, the fixed deviation bar having a central or intermediate portion for the fabric under formation, the intermediate portion being of a length less than that of a minimum formable fabric width and being detached from the remaining sections of the bar by thin breaks in the deviation bar. The intermediate portion is supported via at least one load cell. The device is located in the loom to measure the tension of the fabric already woven and prior to its being wound on the winding beam.

    Abstract: A shuttleless loom weft brake includes at least two braking units arranged in series in the weft yarn travel direction and operating mutually out of phase. Each unit formed from a vertically arranged elastic blade at least partly of ferromagnetic material and a flat support plate of non-magnetic material, between which the weft yarn is made to travel. The blade is fixed to the frame of the weft brake by the end which is closer to the feed bobbin and is preloaded in a direction urging it away from said support plate and against a respective stop pin. The blade is pressed against the support plate by the attraction of an at least one electromagnet of adjustable excitation.

    Abstract: A device for automatically varying, during the transient states following loom stoppages, the shed vertex position in the loom. The device consists of a sensor for determining the beat-up pulse intensity of the loom reed. The device also is connected to a comparator which receives a predetermined set value corresponding to the beat-up pulse intensity of the reed during normal operation. The output of the comparator is used, through a control unit, to synchronously drive the electric motors that operate the beam and the take-up roller of the loom, respectively.

    Abstract: A device for automatically controlling the warp yarn tension in a loom in which the fixed deviation bar for the fabric under formation is supported only at its ends. A deformation sensor, moreover, is directly supported on the deviation bar. The deformation sensor is electrically connected to a comparator to which an adjustable set-value unit is also connected, the output of the comparator being used to drive the geared motor of the warp yarn feed beam to control the warp yarn tension.
