    Abstract: A performance enhancing and force absorbing dental appliance adapted to lie within the mouth of an athlete consists of an occlusal posterior pad made of quadruple composite material comprising four layers of distinct materials, further comprising a first layer of a durable, resilient material; a second layer of non-softenable, flexible material; a third layer of a hard, very durable material; and a fourth layer of a softenable material, engageable with the occlusal surfaces to space apart the upper and lower teeth, to absorb shock and clenching stress. An adjustable arch adapted to expand and contract to be molded to the palate is provided connecting the posterior pads together within the mouth and out of the way of the tongue to maintain the position of the occlusal posterior pads within the mouth during use and to prevent loss of the pads such as by swallowing. An expandable serpentine bridge may be embedded in the arch.

    Abstract: The invention provides a sleeve containing a non-removable therapeutic agent within that is used to provide a variety of therapeutic modalities. The sleeve is constructed of an inner and outer layer of flexible materials suitable to pulled onto a portion of the body such as elbow, wrist, ankle, knee, or other limb for application of therapy. A therapeutic agent of choice becomes non-removable, permanently contained between the inner and outer layers. Various therapeutic agents may be chosen to delivery a wide range of modality. Microwave activated particulates may be contained within the inner and outer coverings to provide moist heat therapy. Metallic particulates may be chosen for cold therapy applications. Outer layers may be insulated to improve heat retention to extend therapeutic time. So constructed, a therapeutic sleeve is provided to delivery heat, cold, or contrast therapy to an affected body part of a human or animal subject.

    Abstract: The invention is a plate with three holes to function as a winch line attachment point and a length and angular adjustment for a chain attached to separated locations on a vehicle. One large hole is used to receive the winch line hook, and two smaller holes with angularly oriented chain locking slots are used to adjust the length of the chain attached to the towed vehicle. The material around the holes is reduced to the minimum size necessary to safely meet the rated towing capacity so that the weight of the plate is minimized.
