  • Publication number: 20220165413
Abstract: A system is provided to monitor, over time, one or more physical variables related to a severity or progression of a movement disorder and/or of symptoms thereof. The monitored physical variables can include speech sounds; keyboard outputs; or accelerations, rotations, or other properties of the motion of one or more body parts. The system operates to detect, based on the monitored one or more physical variables, potential changes in the degree and/or character of the movement disorder symptoms. In response to detecting such a potential change, the system provides the user with one or more tasks that the user can perform. The system detects one or more properties of the user's performance and, based on that detection, determines the severity or progression of the movement disorder. The tasks can include stepping, turning, standing, sitting, reaching, typing, pointing, manipulating an object, speaking into a microphone, or other tasks.

  • Patent number: 11341167
Abstract: A method for tagging and organizing data is provided. In one example, physiological data detected from a wearer of a wearable device is received and associated with a tag based, at least in art, on an input by the wearer. The input may be a state of the wearer, such as physical or mental state, or a rule. The collected physiological data may be organized based on the tag and, in some examples, on other types of received data, such as a wearer's personal data. In other example methods, data may be stored in a database based on one or more tags associated with the data.

  • Patent number: 11332087
Abstract: A phase module assembly includes a first flat laminated busbar elongated along a first direction, including a positive layer, a negative layer, and a load layer that is configured to be conductively coupled with a load. The first flat laminated busbar is conductively coupled to a second flat laminated busbar extending in a plane that is orthogonal to the first direction. The second flat laminated busbar is conductively coupled with a power source of direct current. The phase module assembly also includes one or more switches conductively coupled with internal terminal connectors of the first flat laminated busbar and configured to convert the direct current into one phase of a multi-phase alternating current, and to output the phase to the load. The phase module assembly also includes one or more capacitors mechanically mounted on and conductively coupled with the second flat laminated busbar.

  • Patent number: 11155657
Abstract: Molded articles are prepared from propylene-ethylene copolymers and exhibiting improved clarity and strength properties. Articles prepared include bottles and other thin-walled articles. The articles are prepared using an isotactic propylene-ethylene random copolymer resin having an ethylene content of from about 0.5 to about 3 percent by total weight of copolymer, with a xylene solubles content of less than about 1.5 percent. The injection molded article may exhibit less than about 20 percent haze, as determined by ASTM D1003, at a thickness of about 0.08 inch (2.03 mm). Articles may also be prepared from similar copolymers having an ethylene content greater than about 3 percent by total weight of copolymer, with a xylene solubles content of less than about 4 percent by total weight of copolymer. These articles may exhibit less than about 13 percent haze, as determined by ASTM D1003, at a thickness of about 0.08 inch (2.03 mm).

  • Publication number: 20210307829
Abstract: Various methods, systems, and devices for treating tissue ablation are disclosed. Some embodiments disclosed herein pertain to methods of treating tumors, systems used for irradiating tissue and tumors with electromagnetic radiation, components and devices of that system, and kits for providing systems used for irradiating tissue and tumors with electromagnetic radiation. In some embodiments, the system provides sub-ablative infrared radiation that is absorbed by nanoparticles. In some embodiments, the nanoparticles absorb the radiation converting it into heat energy. In some embodiments, though the infrared radiation itself may be sub-ablative, the heat energy generated by the nanoparticles is sufficient to cause thermal coagulation, hyperthermia, and/or tissue ablation.
