  • Publication number: 20240004038
Abstract: A laser scanner includes a laser head for emitting a measurement beam of a rotating deflection unit driven for deflecting the measurement beam in the direction of a measuring object. The scanner further includes a detector module for detecting the reception/measurement beam reflected by the measuring object, and a control and evaluation unit for signal processing. The deflection unit has a hollow spindle, which carries a beam guide to which a deflection mirror is associated for deflecting the reception/measurement beam in the direction of or from an outlet window held on a rotor housing. At least one pocket is formed on the beam guide, which is aligned in such a way that the deflection mirror is fixed to the beam guide or to the hollow spindle.

  • Publication number: 20230417875
Abstract: A 2D laser scanner measures 360° profiles. The scanner has a housing on which a rotor head is retained and in which a reference module is protected against environmental influences. A housing bottom part has a hollow spindle which supports the rotating rotor head with a deflection unit. The beam path is formed in the interior of the spindle. A laser head is arranged oriented to the axis of rotation, via which the measurement beam is coupled into the laser head in the direction of the deflection unit. A receiver/detector module detects the measurement beam reflected from the measurement object. A PC/motor board, a measurement system and a connector board are received in the housing bottom part. The reference module is configured with a reference plate between the laser head and the deflection unit.

  • Publication number: 20210311176
Abstract: A method is disclosed for determining and compensating a proportion of stray light of a measuring beam of a 3D laser scanner by which a 3D point cloud of an object to be detected can be generated via phase-based distance measurement including a first sequence by which first parameters of a proportion of stray light can be determined independently of the 3D point cloud and/or a second sequence by which second parameters of the proportion of stray light dependent on the generated 3D point cloud and a step can be determined. The proportion of stray light can be compensated as a function of the first parameters and/or the second parameters.

  • Patent number: 7508496
Abstract: What is disclosed is a method for driving a laser scanner, comprising a beam deflection system for a laser beam emitted by a laser light source, wherein a minimum distance to be observed is determined in dependence on the laser power of the laser light source. During the measurement the detected object distance is compared with this minimum distance, and the laser light source is deactivated and/or the laser power is reduced if the detected object distance is less than the minimum distance. There is moreover disclosed a laser scanner for implementing this method.

  • Patent number: 6288777
Abstract: A system and method for determining at least one physical quantity by means of a relation between a transmission signal and a reception signal, wherein a transmitter emits the transmission signal having a predetermined frequency through a signal path for reception as the reception signal by a receiver. A reference signal generator generates a reference signal having a frequency which has a predetermined fixed relation to the frequency of the transmission signal. The reception signal is mixed with the reference signal to produce an intermediate frequency signal, which is filtered to isolate a difference signal, converted to a digital signal and then processed digitally to determine a phase and/or amplitude relation of the respective physical quantity to be determined. The transmission signal, the reference signal and the digital signal are generated in phase-locked relation using a clock signal derived from a main clock pulse of a master oscillator.
