  • Publication number: 20110265544
Abstract: The invention resides in a hydraulic cylinder (23) for a hydraulic drawing cushion (20) of a drawing press (10). The hydraulic cylinder (23) includes a first operating chamber (47), a second operating chamber (48), and a third operating chamber (53). An annular piston (45) with a first piston surface area (49) and a second piston surface area (50) separates the first operating chamber (47) from the second operating chamber (48). The first and the second piston surfaces (49, 50) have the same size. A front surface of the piston rod (33) forms a third piston surface (54) which is larger than the first and second piston surfaces. The third piston surface (54) delimits the third operating chamber (53) of the hydraulic cylinder (23). The first and the second operating chambers (47, 48) are provided for controlling the position and/or the movement of the piston rod (33). The third operating chamber (53) serves to control the metal sheet clamping force of the drawing press via the piston rod (33).

  • Patent number: 7960255
Abstract: A process for forming a wire portion in an integrated electronic circuit includes epitaxially growing the wire portion on a side surface of a seed layer portion (11, 12). Cross-sectional dimensions of the wire portion correspond to a thickness of the seed layer portion and to a duration of the growing step. The seed layer portion is then selectively removed while the wire portion is retained fixedly on the circuit. Afterwards, heating of the circuit can cause the wire portion becoming rounded in cross-section. The wire portion obtained may be about 10 nanometers in diameter. It may be used for forming a channel of a MOS transistor devoid of short channel effect.

  • Patent number: 7884002
Abstract: A method of fabricating a self-aligned Schottky junction (29) in respect of a semiconductor device. After gate etching and spacer formation, a recess defining the junction regions is formed in the Silicon substrate (10) and a SiGe layer (22) is selectively grown therein. A dielectric layer (24) is then provided over the gate (14) and the SiGe layer (22), a contact etch is performed to form contact holes (26) and the SiGe material (22) is then removed to create cavities (28) in the junction regions. Finally the cavities (28) are filled with metal to form the junction (29). Thus, a process is provided for self-aligned fabrication of a Schottky junction having relatively low resistivity, wherein the shape and position of the junction can be well controlled.
