  • Publication number: 20240357444
Abstract: Systems, methods, apparatuses, and computer program products for radio link capability exposure for ultra-reliable low-latency communications (URLLC) and time sensitive communications (TSC). A method may include receiving, from a core network element, configuration of a reliability threshold for sending a failure report and/or a radio link capability report. The method may also include, when the reliability threshold is reached, sending a failure report to the core network element indicating that a required reliability cannot be fulfilled. The method may further include receiving instructions, from the core network element, to perform an action to address the unfulfilled reliability.

  • Patent number: 12003961
Abstract: Techniques for facilitating onboarding to a non-public network is provided. Provisioning parameters may be provided to User Equipment (UE) from a Default Credential Server (DCS) via a secure communication tunnel. Additionally or alternatively, provisioning parameter container(s) including readable provisioning parameters for an Onboarding Network (ONN), and secure provisioning parameters for the UE, may be transmitted to the UE via the ONN. The disclosed methods and apparatuses enable the UE to onboard to a non-public network using the provisioning parameters, and to verify the integrity of the provisioning parameters and ensure the provisioning parameters are not modified by an unauthorized device.

  • Publication number: 20230319638
Abstract: A method may include receiving, by a traffic ingress entity of a communication network, one or more packets of a traffic flow. The method may also include assigning a classification, by the data reception entity, to each packet of the one or more packets of the traffic flow according to one or more protocol data unit sets to which the packet belongs to. The method may further include mapping the one or more packets of the traffic flow to one or more quality of service flows for quality of service handling of the one or more packets based on the classification assigned to each packet. In addition, the method may include outputting the classification assigned to each packet to a network element for enabling quality of service handling of the one or more packets based on the mapping and one or more quality of service information.

  • Publication number: 20230319631
Abstract: There is provided an apparatus, said apparatus comprising means for receiving, from a session management node, burst timing information for a 5G ingress node, receiving burst timing adjustment capability information for an application from a function associated with the application, determining at least one of preferred burst arrival times and periodicity at the 5G ingress node for at least one periodic traffic stream from the application based on the burst timing information and burst timing adjustment capability information and providing an indication of the at least one of determined preferred burst arrival times and periodicity to the function.

  • Publication number: 20230087052
Abstract: Techniques for providing more efficient onboarding traffic protocols in a standalone non-public network architecture are provided. A network entity includes processing circuitry and at least one memory including computer program code. The at least one memory and the computer program code configured to, with the processing circuitry, cause the network entity at least to generate one or more traffic filter rules for a traffic filter set. The one or more traffic filter rules or traffic detection rules are generated based at least in part on domain name service query response information related to one or more user device originated domain name service queries. The network entity may further be configured to cause a user plane function to be provided with the one or more traffic filter rules.

  • Publication number: 20220377820
Abstract: An apparatus is provided which comprises at least one processor and at least one memory including computer program code, the at least one memory and the computer program code configured to, with the at least one processor, cause the apparatus at least to perform: detecting whether a first user equipment is present in an area served by a user plane function, and, when it is detected that the first user equipment is present in the area served by the user plane function, storing information about the presence of the first user equipment and controlling whether and when to allocate the first user equipment to the user plane function based on the stored information.

  • Patent number: 9351246
Abstract: Various methods for distributing a single stream of sensor data to one or more services are provided. One example method may include maintaining an association between sensor data and one or more services requesting the sensor data. The method of this example embodiment may further comprise receiving the sensor data. The example method may further comprise generating one or more copies of the sensor data. The example method may also comprise providing for distribution of the copies of the sensor data to the services requesting the sensor data, such that a copy of the sensor data is provided for distribution to each of the services requesting the sensor data. Similar and related example methods, example apparatuses, and example computer program products are also provided.
