Abstract: Methods, systems, and computer-storage media are provided for using a generic aliasing scheme to facilitate electronic transcription of groups of clinical event data extracted from an electronic medical record to case report forms associated with clinical studies. The generic aliasing scheme is also used to electronically transcribe documentation of task completion to case report forms associated with the clinical studies.

The electronic medical record is presented to the third-party user in a read-only view, and the third-party user is prevented from searching the EMR system for other electronic medical records.

Furthermore, a cloud-based application is utilized for notifying one or more clinical trial sponsors that one or more patients of a second healthcare provider match the qualifications of one or more clinical trials, wherein at least one match was identified from a first healthcare provider.

Abstract: Methods are directed at utilizing a patient's electronic medical record (EMR) information accessed from a cloud, such as that used in Blue Button technology. Once the patient's EMR information is downloaded from the cloud, it is used to automatically determine if the patient is eligible to participate in a clinical trial. The EMR information of the patient is also utilized to determine if there is a potential drug-drug interaction from of the one or more medications the patient is prescribed to take. Furthermore, the patient's EMR information is used to identify any warnings and indications regarding the one or more medications the patient is prescribed to take. Notifications are then sent to a patient device and devices of those that have permission from the patient to receive such information, such as family members.
