  • Publication number: 20130128558
Abstract: A lighting fixture includes a housing formed from walls that are connected by corner posts that are inserted into the ends of the walls eliminate light leaks and external fasteners. The corner posts include barbs or screw holes for receiving screws from the inside of the walls. The housing can be used as a retrofit for a recessed lighting fixture where the housing can surround the lighting fixture and attach thereto. The assembly can then be mounted by a suitable support.

  • Patent number: 7901105
Abstract: A lighting assembly is provided having a main housing and a lens assembly hinged to the main housing. The lens assembly has a body with end walls with a recess in an upper end of the end walls. The recess in each end wall has a dimension to receive and support a lens for directing light to the target area. The lens has a length greater than the length of the cover so that the ends of the lens extend beyond the outer edge of the end walls of the cover. Stop members are provided on the end walls to limit longitudinal movements of the lens with respect to the body of the lens assembly. A reflector extends from a bottom edge of the cover to an upper edge overlying a portion of the lens. A spring clip is provided to couple the lens to the reflector.

  • Patent number: 7413323
Abstract: An adjustable lighting fixture has a moveable housing. A first housing has a first opening and a second opening. A second housing is adapted to movably engage the first housing. A resilient member is connected to the second housing and adapted to be received by one of the first and second openings in the first housing. The first opening corresponds to a contracted position of the lighting fixture and the second opening corresponds to an expanded position of the lighting fixture. A lamp disposed in the lighting fixture has a longitudinal axis that is substantially perpendicular to a direction of movement of the first and second housings.

  • Patent number: 7384168
Abstract: A light fixture has an outer housing having a top outer wall, outer side walls extending substantially perpendicularly from the outer edges of the top outer wall, an inner housing having a top inner wall, and inner side walls extending substantially perpendicularly from the inner edges of the top inner wall. A lamp receiving socket is attached to the inner housing. The outer housing includes an opening adapted to connect to a ventilation system. First and second channels are defined between the top outer wall and the first outer and inner side walls, and the top outer wall and the second outer and inner side walls, respectively. Each of the first and second channels have a width that is approximately ? the distance between the first and second outer side walls.

Abstract: A light fixture has an outer housing having a top outer wall with first and second outer edges. First and second outer side walls extend substantially perpendicularly from the first and second outer edges. An inner housing is disposed substantially within the outer housing and has a top inner wall that has first and second inner edges. First and second inner side walls extend substantially perpendicularly from the first and second inner edges. A lamp receiving socket is attached to the inner housing. An opening in the outer housing is adapted to connect to a ventilation system. A first channel is defined between the top outer wall, the first outer side wall and the first inner side wall to receive air from the ventilation system through the opening. A second channel is defined between the top outer wall, the second outer side wall and the second inner side wall to receive air from the ventilation system through the opening.

  • Patent number: 6789914
Abstract: A luminaire having a frame that includes opposite first and second ends with a connecting member extending therebetween. The frame has an opening remote from the connecting member. First and second lamps are supported by the frame adjacent the first and second ends, respectively. A main reflector extends between the first and second ends of the frame and has a reflecting surface directed towards the opening of the frame. First and second reflecting members are disposed adjacent the first and second ends, respectively, of the frame and between the first and second lamps, respectively, and the opening of the frame. Each of the first and second reflecting members includes first and second curved reflectors and a plurality of baffles extending between the first and second curved reflectors. The first and second reflecting members direct light from the first and second lamps, respectively, through the opening in the frame.
