  • Patent number: 7603262
Abstract: A method and apparatus for computer modeling the production process is disclosed. An integrated product and process engineering system may be a computer modeling system that models both a generic production process and a specific individual production process. The integrated product and process engineering system may store one or more time dependent process parameters related to the production process and one or more engineering change numbers related to different product designs. The effective time periods of the time dependent process parameters may be compared with the effective time periods of the engineering change numbers. Various flags may be associated with each comparison to indicate the validity of the time dependent process parameter.

  • Patent number: 7571078
Abstract: A method and apparatus for computer modeling the production process is disclosed. An integrated product and process engineering system may be a computer modeling system that models both a generic production process and a specific individual production process. The integrated product and process engineering system may store a time dependent process parameter related to the specific product design and organize the time dependent process parameters by product variants. The time dependent process parameter may have a parameter value and a start time. The time dependent process parameters may be input/output component consumption parameters, activity duration parameters, resource capacity consumption parameters, and activity scrap parameters.

An integrated product and process engineering system may be a computer modeling system that models both a generic production process and a specific individual production process. The integrated product and process engineering system may store a time dependent process parameter related to the production process, having uploaded them via an interface. The time dependent process parameters may be retrieve and displayed to the user on a display using a remote function call enabled function module. The time dependent process parameters may be uploaded from an external system or revised using a remote function call enabled function module.

  • Publication number: 20070005837
Abstract: A personal portable storage device (PPSD). The PPSD has a storage medium. The PPSD also includes a wireless component, coupled to the storage medium. Additionally, the PPSD includes transfer management electronics, coupled to the storage medium, which allow a host device to access the PPSD through the wireless component without requiring physical connections between the PPSD and the host device. The PPSD includes a self-contained energy source, coupled to the transfer management electronics. The PPSD also has a housing, which at least partially encloses the storage medium, the wireless component, the energy source, and the transfer management electronics, and is of a size and shape well-suited to being carried on a person, so that the PPSD is easy to transport.

  • Patent number: 7119980
Abstract: Secure data is written to a disk during manufacture in such a way that it can be read but not copied. Methods include writing triangular transitions or very slow transitions from positive magnetic to negative magnetic and then erasing the negative parts to yield a code that consists of positive read back amplitudes only. Or, high frequency transitions can be written during servo writing.

  • Publication number: 20030217437
Abstract: A handle includes a grip and a connector in connection with the grip for removable connection with a shank of a tool bit. The grip includes an extension. The connector includes a first section for connection with the extension of the grip and a second section for connection with the shank of the tool bit. The second section of the connector defines a space for receiving the shank of the tool bit. A stabilizer includes an insert for insertion in the space defined in the second section of the connector and a flange projecting from the insert for avoiding the insert of the stabilizer getting too deep to be pulled out. The second section of the connector defines an aperture in communication with the space. A bolt is driven through the aperture into the space so as to abut the insert of the stabilizer. The first section of the connector defines a space for receiving the extension of the grip. The extension of the grip defines a space for receiving the shank of the tool bit.
