  • Patent number: 11941405
Abstract: An example device includes a plurality of computational memory banks. Each computational memory bank of the plurality of computational memory banks includes an array of memory units and a plurality of processing elements connected to the array of memory units. The device further includes a plurality of single instruction, multiple data (SIMD) controllers. Each SIMD controller of the plurality of SIMD controllers is contained within at least one computational memory bank of the plurality of computational memory banks. Each SIMD controller is to provide instructions to the at least one computational memory bank.

  • Patent number: 5000272
Abstract: For a self-controlling drill rod for rotary boring rods of machine rock drills, comprising an inner drilling shaft adapted to be connected with the boring rods and the boring tool and having a flush channel and a housing mounted on the drilling shaft so as to be rotatable thereabout, control bars capable of swinging out being disposed on the outside of the housing, and the parts of the hydrostatic drives acting on the control bars as well as the control electronics and control electrical system being provided within the housing, whereby the required energy is generated by the rotary motion during the boring operation, the inventive improvement is that an annular space exists between the drilling shaft and the housing having a radial connection with the flush channel of the drilling shaft and being closed off at each end by a rotary check valve keeping out the borehole fluid, and that the annular space serves as a tank for the working fluid of the hydraulic system, said fluid being formed by the drilling shaft

  • Patent number: 4596293
Abstract: A dirigible drilling head is provided with a hydraulic pulser in its rotating inner tube in the form of a spindle piston which can obstruct the flushing medium passage and is displaced by a hydraulic circuit including a hydraulic valve. The hydraulic valve is in turn actuated by a miniature electronic circuit so that a variety of input parameters from respective sensors can be delivered to the circuit and transformed into respective hydraulic pulses which are monitored by a differential pressure pickup connected to the line feeding the flushing liquid to the string.

  • Patent number: 4407374
Abstract: A device for controlling the inclination of underground bore holes is in form of a drill guide rod having an outer element and an inner element which rotates coaxially in the outer element. Gib-shaped members can be pivoted out from the outer element in the same manner as the ribs of an umbrella, and electrical inclinometers in the rod furnish the signals which control the time and degree of such pivoting.

  • Patent number: 4052652
Abstract: Apparatus for tightening and releasing one of the clamping nuts which act to maintain a pre-established pressure-tight sealing of a flanged reactor pressure vessel, the bolts for which clamping nuts are held and pretensioned in the flange of the vessel. The clamping nut has teeth and is turned on its bolt, via a reduction gearing cooperating with the teeth, by a three phase motor whose rotor has the smallest number of poles for a small moment of inertia and a high speed of rotation. A connecting lead for the motor has a current sensor disposed in one phase thereof, and a triac contactor responsive to an output signal from the current sensor and arranged to open-circuit the connection lead when the sensed current exceeds a predetermined threshold at a limit position of the nut. The apparatus also includes an override means which acts to prevent the motor being automatically switched off in response to start-up current during a preselected period from switch-on of the motor.
