  • Patent number: 6660217
Abstract: A blow molding method for forming a hollow resin product comprises a parison extruding step, a protrusion abutting step and a confronting rod abutting step. In the extruding step, a parison is extruded from a die head towards a position interposed between a pair of molding portions. Each molding portion has a mating surface and a parison-cutting-protrusion erected from the mating surface. In the protrusion abutting step, the protrusions are abutted from each other. In the confronting rod abutting step, the spherical surfaces formed at tip ends of the rods protruded from the mating surfaces of the molding portions are abutted from each other. These steps are simultaneously executed, to thereby remove a flash from a product when the molding portions are closed. In addition to this, the rods mounted on one of molding portions are mounted on the same so as to be adjustable in its protruding length from the mating surface.

  • Patent number: 6168002
Abstract: In a handler attracting and transporting ICs by the use of a vacuum pick-up head, a control system is provided which provides for removing a jammed IC without the need for opening the door of the constant temperature chamber, if the vacuum pick-up head's failure to grasp an IC should cause jamming. A jam detecting means detects the occurrence of jam to interrupt the operation of the handler, whereupon a motion control means is activated to move the vacuum pick-up head to and stop it at a position distant from the site of jamming whereby the space above the site of jamming is cleared. This allows for removing the jammed IC by using a manipulator rod inserted through a through-hole formed through the outer wall of the constant temperature chamber.

  • Patent number: 5785920
Abstract: A rod 3 is driven forward to open an annular slit 5 between a die 2 and a mandrel 4 and the molten resin in a resin accumulation chamber 10 is expelled from annular slit 5 to form a parison. In this operation, the die 2 is displaced from an original position adjoining to the mandrel 4 (axially aligned position) upon opening of the annular slit 5 to correct for any variation in thickness of parison P to be extruded from the annular slit 5. Then, the molten resin accumulated in accumulation chamber 10 is expelled from annular slit 5 to form parison P. The die 2 is then reset to the original position to bring the die 2 and mandrel 4 into axial alignment. Therefore, as the rod 3 is driven back, the annular slit 5 can be closed tight by the mandrel 4 to prevent resin leakage. After closure of the annular slit 5, molten resin is accumulated again in the accumulation chamber 10 and the annular slit 5 is opened. This procedure is repeated to produce parisons on an intermittent basis.

  • Patent number: 5637894
Abstract: A charge coupled device, together with a method for manufacturing the device, is provided which can eliminate a conventional problem, that is, the remaining of a light-receiving film at a great step area and a consequent lowering of a sensitivity resulting from the shutting-off of a portion of incident light. In the charge coupled device, insulating areas are formed in substantially strip-like array on a silicon substrate. Respective transfer electrodes are formed on a gate insulating film on a semiconductor substrate with an insulating areas interposed. The respective phase transfer electrodes are electrically separated by the insulating area. By doing so, the respective phase transfer electrodes can be formed on the same plane without leaving a greater step. This can achieve a thinned light shielding film.
