Abstract: A method for color-revitalizing a color tone of hair that involves applying a color-revitalizing composition to hair previously dyed with an oxidative hair dye composition. The color-revitalizing composition, which has a color determined by the color of the oxidative hair dye composition and contains at least one direct dye, revitalizes the color tone originally obtained by after dyeing with the oxidative hair dye composition.

Abstract: In an image formation apparatus which receives data transmitted from plural external apparatuses connected through a network and processes the received data, transmission source lists associated with users of the image formation apparatus are stored in a memory, the transmission source list corresponding to the user authenticated with respect to the image formation apparatus is selected, it is judged, when the data is received from the external apparatus, whether or not transmission source information of the external apparatus has been registered on the transmission source list, and it is controlled based on the judged result whether or not to process the received data.

Abstract: In an image formation apparatus which includes a nonvolatile memory, the apparatus has a first mode of controlling so that a job does not remain in the nonvolatile memory after image formation is performed based on the job and a second mode of storing the job in the nonvolatile memory and not physically deleting the job in the nonvolatile memory after the image formation is performed based on the job, it is registered whether the image formation is performed in the first mode or the second mode with respect to each user authenticated by the apparatus, and it is selectively controlled to perform the image formation in either one of the first mode and the second mode based on the user authentication.

Abstract: In a distributed printing system in which an original print job is divided into a plurality of distributed print jobs that are printed on a plurality of output devices, in order to stop outputting the pages subsequent to a predetermined page in the original print job, an instruction for outputting up to the predetermined page is inputted. It is determined which of the output devices outputs the distributed print job that includes the predetermined page. Based on this determination, an instruction to stop outputting the pages subsequent to the predetermined page is issued to the output device that outputs the distributed print job that includes the predetermined page.

Abstract: A mirror for checking dyed hair color has a mirror and a colored filter formed on part or the whole of the surface of the mirror. The colored filter is formed such that the color of the reflected image of hair from the colored filter is the same as the dyed hair color for when the hair has been dyed with a particular hair dye. By using this mirror for checking dyed hair color, it is possible to easily predict hair color after dyeing for any given initial hair color, thus making it possible to easily select a hair dye for obtaining a desired dyed hair color.

Abstract: There is provided an information processing apparatus which is capable of configuring and resetting a network device by using network management software prepared as utility software provided with a single program reset function independent of device types. The settings of a device on a network are configured by the network management software, and then it is determined whether or not remote reset of the device is possible to carry out (S4 to S6). If remote reset of the device is possible to carry out, the same is executed, whereas if remote reset of the device is impossible to carry out, a message promoting the user to restart power supply to the device is displayed.

Abstract: The invention relates to a hair dye composition comprising (A) an acid dye and (B) an alkylene carbonate having 3-5 carbon atoms in total, said composition exhibiting a pH of 2-6, and having a buffer capacity of 0.007-0.5 gram equivalent/L, and to a method of dyeing hair using the hair dye composition. Abstract: Disclosed are recording method and apparatus for inputting recording information in page units, developing the recording information into bit-map information and recording the bit-map information. The bit-map information is corrected, before it is compressed by a compressing circuit, in dependence upon the compression ratio of the compressing circuit, the corrected bit-map information is then compressed by the compressing circuit and stored in a pixel memory. Recording is performed upon expanding the bit-map information stored in the pixel memory. As a result, the blurring of characters and fine lines by compression can be prevented. Further, it is determined whether the recording information is text data or image data. By compressing the text data at a compression ratio smaller than that used to compress the image data, a decline in the image quality of the text data recorded is prevented.
