  • Publication number: 20040123759
Abstract: In an ink supply amount control method for a printing press, ink is supplied from the gap between a plurality of ink fountain keys and an ink fountain roller to an ink supply path in accordance with rotation of the ink fountain roller. The swing operation of an ink ductor roller is temporarily stopped. When the swing operation should intermittently be stopped, the operation of the ink fountain key or the ink fountain roller is controlled to control the ink supply amount to the ink ductor roller. Ink in a corrected amount is supplied to a printing plate attached to a plate cylinder through the ink supply path by the swing operation of the ink ductor roller. An ink supply amount control apparatus is also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 5935532
Abstract: In a combustion gas reformer, exhaust ducts are provided at a lower portion of the reformer. Openings are provided in opposite side walls along the length of each exhaust duct. The openings are uniformly distributed at a constant height along the longitudinal direction of the exhaust duct. The openings are disposed in the side walls at a constant height, and may be arrayed in two steps or rows. A partition wall is provided on the upper wall and extends along the length of the exhaust duct. The amount of combustion gas flowing into the duct through the openings at the lower portion of the side walls increases gradually toward the exhaust outlet. However, since the cross section of the duct toward the outlet becomes gradually enlarged, pressure and gas distribution become uniform. Also, no transverse flow of the combustion gas occurs, due to the partition wall being disposed on the upper wall of the duct.

  • Patent number: 5247567
Abstract: A portable-to-portable talk system for cordless telephone. The transmitter-receiver of base unit has a control channel and a plurality of talk channels. The transmitter-receiver transmits the channel number of a vacant talk channel to a first portable unit and to a second portable unit over the control channel upon reception of a connection request from the first portable unit over the control channel. The transmitter-receiver is then switched from the control channel to the vacant talk channel after having transmitted the channel number of vacant talk channel over the control channel. Then, the receiver output of the transmitter-receiver is connected to the transmitter input. The transmitter-receiver of the portable unit has the control channel and the plurality of talk channels and transmits the connection request to the base unit over the control channel.
