    Abstract: Several embodiments of transceivers including an earphone and a microphone carried by a mounting device that is adapted to be mounted on the ear of the user. The mounting device resiliently biases the earphone into engagement with the auditory canal of the user so as to improve sound transmission. A number of arrangements of mounting of the microphone and shielding from noise are shown and described.
