    Abstract: According to one embodiment, a liquid crystal display device includes a first scanning line, a third scanning line, a second scanning line, a first linear electrode, a second linear electrode and a third linear electrode. The first linear electrode is located between the first scanning line and the second scanning line, and extends in a third direction. The second linear electrode is located between the first scanning line and the second scanning line, and extends in a fourth direction.
