  • Publication number: 20150307687
Abstract: Provided is an inkjet maintenance fluid that is stable and very safe, exhibits good ink-cleaning performance, and is widely applicable to a variety of types of inkjet ink. This inkjet maintenance fluid contains water, a water-soluble organic solvent containing 1,3-propanediol, and a surfactant. The water-soluble organic solvent preferably constitutes at least 20% of the mass of the maintenance fluid, and 1,3-propanediol preferably constitutes at least 30% of the mass of the water-soluble organic solvent. Even low-HLB surfactants are dissolved well, allowing application to a wide range of inkjet inks.

  • Patent number: 8841356
Abstract: Disclosed is an ink composition which has superior storage stability, is resistant to bleeding, has good fixability to paper, and enables printing of a clear image. The ink composition includes a pigment dispersion containing a surface-treated pigment and a resin emulsion, wherein the surface-treated pigment is obtained by binding a functional group, having a larger calcium index than a calcium index of 1,2,3-benzenetricarboxylic acid, to the surface of a pigment; and the resin emulsion is adapted so that an aqueous solution containing 1 mass % of a solid content of the resin emulsion has a conductance of 300 ?S/cm or less.

  • Patent number: 8814335
Abstract: An inkjet recording method characterized by adhering a receiving solution (A) to at least areas on a recording medium (R) which are to be printed with an inkjet ink (I) or the whole surface of the medium (R) which is to be printed, said receiving solution (A) being a solution obtained by dissolving (inclusive of dispersing) one or more metal salts (S) selected from among at least divalent, calcium salts, magnesium salts, nickel salts, aluminum salts, boron salts, and zinc salts and one or more resins (B) having hydrophilic groups in an aqueous solvent in such amounts that the concentrations of the metal salts (S) and the resins (B) fall within the range of 0.005 to 2.0 mol/l and within the range of 0.5 to 20 mass % respectively, and then applying the inkjet ink (1) to areas where the metal salts are present in an adhered state to carry out printing.

  • Publication number: 20140132661
Abstract: Provided is an inkjet recording method which minimizes blur and achieves excellent fixing to a recoding medium. This inkjet recording method is characterized by adhering a receiving solution (A) to at least areas on a recording medium (R) which are to be printed with an inkjet ink (I) or the whole surface of the medium (R) which is to be printed, said receiving solution (A) being a solution obtained by dissolving (inclusive of dispersing) one or more metal salts (S) selected from among at least divalent, calcium salts, magnesium salts, nickel salts, aluminum salts, boron salts, and zinc salts and one or more resins (B) having hydrophilic groups in an aqueous solvent in such amounts that the concentrations of the metal salts (S) and the resins (B) fall within the range of 0.005 to 2.0 mol/l and within the range of 0.5 to 20 mass % respectively, and then applying the inkjet ink (I) to areas where the metal salts are present in an adhered state to carry out printing.

  • Publication number: 20140055520
Abstract: An inkjet recording method which suppresses feathering and color bleeding and is excellent in fixability to a recording medium. The inkjet recording method includes the steps of applying an ink-receiving solution prepared by dissolving in an aqueous solvent at least one metal salt having a water solubility of 0.1 mol/l or more, selected from calcium salts, magnesium salts, nickel salts and zinc salts having a valence of 2 or more, to at least the surface to be printed by using an inkjet ink or the entire surface of a recording medium; and printing on the metal salt adhered part by using the inkjet ink comprising at least a pigment, a resin emulsion and an aqueous solvent containing a surfactant. Further, a phosphorus-containing group having at least one P—O or P?O bond is bound to the surface of the pigment.
