  • Patent number: 8551018
Abstract: A puncture set includes a puncture needle unit and puncture device. The puncture needle unit includes a puncture needle and a tubular casing, with the puncture needle having a needle hub and a needle body possessing a needle point. The tubular casing movably receives the puncture needle and has an opening from which the needle point can project. The puncture device has a housing, an installation section at which the casing is removably installed, and a plunger having a connection section connected to the needle hub in an installed state where the casing is installed on the installation section. Casing-side projections project from the outer periphery of the casing and are circumferentially arranged. Installation section-side projections project from the inner periphery of the installation section and are circumferentially arranged. In the installed state, at least one installation section-side projection is located between adjacent casing-side projections.

  • Patent number: 8201022
Abstract: A server to be changed is added to a destination unit in terms of configuration. The server to be changed is started to restore the database in the database storage region to which the server has access and to restore the transaction for the process that was executed when the server failed. The destination of the failed server (a system destination unit) when failure occurs is determined to stabilize the throughput of the entire system after the switchover of the system in the event of failure. The destination server is determined according to an instruction given in advance by the user. The database management system statistically determines the destination server in accordance with a policy designated by the user. Alternatively, the database management system dynamically determines the destination server according to the policy designated by the user when failure occurs.

  • Publication number: 20100138391
Abstract: A database management system includes a backup processing portion and a DB access processing portion. The backup processing portion operates to write data at a given time of a database stored in a storage unit out of the database after the given time as backup data. When an update request for data not written out as the backup data occurs in a data access request after the given time, the DB access processing portion writes the data at the given time out of the database as the backup data and updates the data written out of the database according to the update request. The backup processing portion and the DB access processing portion execute their processes in parallel.

  • Patent number: 7536422
Abstract: In a database management system using a shared-nothing architecture and adopting a system takeover in a DB storage area unit, correspondence information is provided which indicates a relation between a DB storage area and a DB processing server in charge of an access to the DB storage area, when a takeover occurs to some DB storage area, the correspondence information is changed in such a manner that an access process to the DB storage area is made in charge of another running DB processing server, and when some DB storage area is accessed in response to an inquiry request from a user, a DB processing server as an access request destination is determined by referring to the correspondence information.

  • Publication number: 20070220028
Abstract: In a database management system, responsive to imbalances appearing in amounts of data in databases to be used by database servers, loss in performance of database management system is reduced, and the imbalances in the performances of processing of the database servers, which execute access transactions, are redressed. Allocation of CPU resources for execution of the access transactions are determined by changing or maintaining the CPU resource allocations to the database servers. Amounts of data to be used respectively by the database servers during access transactions are obtained from each database and stored into a storage device. A ratio of CPU resource allocations is calculated based upon a ratio of the amounts of data stored for the respective database servers. The CPU resource allocations for the respective database servers are changed based upon the calculated ratio.
