  • Patent number: 9714606
Abstract: Disclosed is a vehicle power generating apparatus which comprises: a generator; a rotary engine configured to serve as an engine for driving the generator, and installed in the vehicle in a posture where an output shaft thereof extends in an up-down direction; and an intake pipe and an exhaust pipe each connected to the rotary engine. The rotary engine comprises a pair of upper and lower side housings, and a rotor housing located between the upper and lower side housings. the rotor housing and the lower side housing are formed with an intake port and an exhaust port, respectively. The intake pipe is connected to a side surface of the rotor housing in such a manner as to be communicated with the intake port, and the exhaust pipe is connected to the lower side housing in such a manner as to be communicated with the exhaust port.

  • Publication number: 20160084158
Abstract: A rotary piston engine mounted on a vehicle is provided. The engine includes a rotary piston engine body mounted on the vehicle in an orientation where an output shaft of the rotary piston engine body extends substantially horizontally, an intake passage connected with an intake port formed in the rotary piston engine body, and an exhaust passage connected with an exhaust port formed in the rotary piston engine body. When the rotary piston engine is seen along the output shaft, the intake port is formed in a lower part of the rotary piston engine body and the exhaust port is formed in an upper part of the rotary piston engine body. The intake passage is disposed on one side of the rotary piston engine body and the exhaust passage is disposed above the rotary piston engine body.

  • Patent number: 6745739
Abstract: An intake system of an engine comprises an intake module, in which a throttle body joint portion and an upstream portion of an intake manifold are formed in a single structure, and a downstream portion of the intake manifold extending from an engine body. A downstream end of the intake module is joined to the downstream portion of the intake manifold and an end portion of the intake module opposite to its portion joined to the downstream portion of the intake manifold is connected to an uppermost part of an oil filler pipe which is connected to the engine body. In this construction, the intake module is supported by the engine body via the oil filler pipe.
