  • Patent number: 10016041
Abstract: A hair removal tool is equipped with: a drive unit for driving a blade; a load detection unit for detecting the size of the load on the drive unit; and a control unit for changing the drive mode of the drive unit between a first drive mode for driving the drive unit at a first drive speed, a second drive mode for driving the drive unit at a second drive speed which is faster than the first drive speed, and a transition mode for driving the drive unit at a transition speed which is faster than the second drive speed. A first interval is set as the interval from when the drive mode is changed from the first drive mode to the transition mode until when the drive mode is changed from the transition mode to the second drive mode. A second interval is set as the interval from when the drive mode is changed from the transition mode to the second drive mode until when the drive mode is changed from the second drive mode to the first drive mode. The first interval is shorter than the second interval.

  • Patent number: 8819946
Abstract: A support arm that is rockably supported on one end of a grip portion and projects from the one end is provided. Both ends of a blade head are supported by the support arm such that the blade head can rock around an axis extending along a reciprocating direction of an inner blade, and an axial direction of the rocking motion of the support arm with respect to the grip portion is set in a direction intersecting with the reciprocating direction of the inner blade. This configuration achieves an electric shaver capable of increasing the movable range of the blade head while preventing a main body from increasing in size.

  • Patent number: 8633410
Abstract: A switch is coupled to a switch support and includes a push button, a lock assembly, a tab, and a hook. The lock assembly includes an operation ring, which is rotated about the button between an unlock position to permit actuation of the button and a lock state to prohibit actuation of the button, and a lock ring, which is rotated integrally with the operation ring. When the operation ring is located at the lock position, the hook and the tab are arranged at the same position in a circumferential direction, which creates interference between the hook and the tab and blocks actuation of the button. When the operation ring is located at the unlock position, the hook and the tab are separated from each other in the circumferential direction, which avoids interference between the hook and the tab and permits actuation of the button.
