  • Publication number: 20120096229
Abstract: A storage control apparatus of the present invention is able to duplicatively manage data in a cache memory even during maintenance work. When a memory package CMPK3 specified by a user is removed from the apparatus 1 (S2), a microprocessor 2 changes a pair that has been configured using CMPK2 and CMPK3 to a pair of CMPK2 and a free area of a CMPK1. As a result, received data (S5) is respectively written to multiple cache memories (S6, S7), and duplicatively managed.

  • Publication number: 20120081096
Abstract: A power supply unit, which is mounted in a host device for supplying power to a client device through a cable interposed therebetween, includes an output unit configured to generate a first output voltage from an input voltage. A controller is provided in the power supply to perform voltage feedback control on the output unit such that the first output voltage is maintained at a predetermined target value. Also, the power supply unit includes a first correction unit configured to correct the voltage feedback control at the controller such that the first output voltage is increased as a second output voltage finally supplied to the client device becomes lower, and a second correction unit configured to correct the voltage feedback control at the controller such that the first output voltage is increased as an output current supplied from the host device to the client device becomes larger.

  • Patent number: 7644263
Abstract: A PLD is interposed on the communication route between a microprocessor (hereinbelow called MP) and boot memories. The boot memories store MP start-up data needed to start up the MP and start-up protection code constituting protection code for the MP start-up data. The PLD reads the MP start-up data and the start-up protection code thereof from the boot memories, performs, in hardware fashion, a check of the validity of the MP start-up data using this start-up protection code and, if a negative check result is obtained, resets the MP and if a positive check result is obtained, inputs the start-up data that is thus read to the MP.

  • Patent number: 5272034
Abstract: In accordance with the present invention, the electrophotographic toner is produced by dispersing and mixing toner components containing a fixing resin, a coloring agent and an electric charge controlling dye, and by melting and kneading the resulting mixture, which is then subjected to pulverizing and classifying. According to the present invention, fine powder generated at the pulverizing and classifying steps is reused as added to a mixture of toner components as already dispersed and mixed at the dispersing and mixing step, and the surface dye density of the electric charge controlling dye is in the range from 1.0.times.10.sup.-3 to 1.7.times.10.sup.-3 g/g, or the rate of the amount of an electric charge controlling dye present on the surfaces of toner particles to the total amount of the electric charge controlling dye, is in the range from 10 to 27% by weight.

  • Patent number: 5077168
Abstract: Disclosed is a toner for the electrophotography, which comprises as a main component a styrene/acrylic copolymer having at least two molecular weight distribution peaks, the molecular weight (Mw) of the peak on the lowest molecular weight side being lower than 13000, wherein the toner contains a charge controlling agent dispersed therein at a concentration of at least 0.3% by weight and the charge controlling agent has such a particle size distribution that the area ratio of particles having a particle size larger than 2.5 .mu.m is at least 80% based on the section of the toner. If this toner is used, the fixing-possible temperature can be broadened while increasing the fixing ratio without reduction of the performances of the toner.

  • Patent number: 4855204
Abstract: A white toner comprising a fixing resin and dispersed therein, a titanium dioxide pigment of high purity containing at least 99% by weight of TiO.sub.2, not more than 0.1% by weight of Al.sub.2 O.sub.3 and not more than 0.05% by weight of SiO.sub.2 as a white pigment. The white toner has markedly improved hygroscopicity as a result of using the white pigment in which the contents of metal oxides such as Al.sub.2 O.sub.3 and SiO.sub.2 are reduced to very small amounts. The toner can thus retain the stable and uniform amount of triboelectric charge, and permits effective circumvention of troubles such as the reduction of image density, background fog and image blurring.

  • Patent number: 4645729
Abstract: A charged image on a photosensitive layer is developed with a toner containing a releasing agent and a hydroxycarboxylic acid complex salt to form a toner image. The toner image is then transferred to a receptor sheet and fixed to it. The use of a toner containing a specific hydroxycarboxylic acid complex salt brings about a marked advantage of widening a non-offset region to a higher temperature without impairing the antiblocking property, flowability and heat resistance of the toner.
