  • Patent number: 7644263
Abstract: A PLD is interposed on the communication route between a microprocessor (hereinbelow called MP) and boot memories. The boot memories store MP start-up data needed to start up the MP and start-up protection code constituting protection code for the MP start-up data. The PLD reads the MP start-up data and the start-up protection code thereof from the boot memories, performs, in hardware fashion, a check of the validity of the MP start-up data using this start-up protection code and, if a negative check result is obtained, resets the MP and if a positive check result is obtained, inputs the start-up data that is thus read to the MP.

  • Patent number: 4855204
Abstract: A white toner comprising a fixing resin and dispersed therein, a titanium dioxide pigment of high purity containing at least 99% by weight of TiO.sub.2, not more than 0.1% by weight of Al.sub.2 O.sub.3 and not more than 0.05% by weight of SiO.sub.2 as a white pigment. The white toner has markedly improved hygroscopicity as a result of using the white pigment in which the contents of metal oxides such as Al.sub.2 O.sub.3 and SiO.sub.2 are reduced to very small amounts. The toner can thus retain the stable and uniform amount of triboelectric charge, and permits effective circumvention of troubles such as the reduction of image density, background fog and image blurring.

  • Patent number: 4645729
Abstract: A charged image on a photosensitive layer is developed with a toner containing a releasing agent and a hydroxycarboxylic acid complex salt to form a toner image. The toner image is then transferred to a receptor sheet and fixed to it. The use of a toner containing a specific hydroxycarboxylic acid complex salt brings about a marked advantage of widening a non-offset region to a higher temperature without impairing the antiblocking property, flowability and heat resistance of the toner.
