Patent number: 7535348Abstract: A surveillance system having surveillance terminals and a surveillance center is configured to perform effective hazard alert signaling, depending on the hazard type. The surveillance system comprises a plurality of surveillance terminals, which are connected to the surveillance center by a network, carries out hazard and alert signaling. One surveillance terminal detects a hazard and sends a hazard information signal reporting what hazard has just been detected to the surveillance center. The surveillance center receives the hazard information signal, identifies what type of hazard source and the surveillance terminal that sent the hazard information signal, selects surveillance terminals to be alerted to the hazard from among the plurality of surveillance terminals, depending on the identified type of the hazard source and its locality, and sends a hazard alert signal to the selected surveillance terminals.Type: GrantFiled: June 26, 2006Date of Patent: May 19, 2009Assignees: Hitachi, Ltd., Panasonic CorporationInventors: Keisuke Inata, Taku Nakamura, Masahiro Kageyama, Hiroyasu Ohtsubo, Takuya Imaide, Teruki Niki, Masaomi Ueda, Hiroaki Yoshio

Patent number: 6963925Abstract: A gateway realizes a connection between a network where HAVi devices are hooked up and another network in accordance with a Play-and-Plug spec. (e.g. the internet protocol (IP)) other than the HAVi spec. An HAVi plug-in detector detects a plug-in of a device to the HAVi network. A virtual device functions as a gateway for accessing from a device plugged-in the IP network to the device plugged-in the HAVi network. A virtual device controller provides the virtual device with an IP identifier for accessing to the virtual device from the IP network, and turns the virtual device to a standby status waiting for connection. A pseudo address generator generates a pseudo address for the virtual device to communicate with the device in the HAVi network, and provides the virtual device with the pseudo address. An address-correspondence-controller controls the correspondence between an HAVi address and the IP identifier both provided to the virtual device.Type: GrantFiled: June 26, 2000Date of Patent: November 8, 2005Assignee: Matsushita Electric Industrial Co., Ltd.Inventors: Akira Ishikawa, Teruki Niki, Takashi Mitoh, Masaomi Ueda, Tetsuya Hino

Publication number: 20020162005Abstract: There is disclosed a system including an access right setting apparatus and manager terminal in which a user having an access to a resource of a network limited issues a request, and thereby an access right can easily be set, and the user who desires to access the resource describes set contents of the access right, such as the resource, time, and access content, in access request information 303, and transmits the information to an access right setting apparatus 100 for managing the access right in the system. The received access request information 303 is transferred to a manager of the resource by access request information transfer means 102, and the manager simply confirms a request content and makes judgment of approval, so that the access right setting apparatus 100 automatically sets the access right.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 26, 2001Publication date: October 31, 2002Inventors: Masaomi Ueda, Akira Ishikawa, Takashi Mitoh
