  • Publication number: 20240052283
Abstract: The aseptic sampling apparatus according to the present invention includes: a sampling channel for pulling out a culture solution in a culture tank to supply the same to an analytical unit; and a pressure-applying unit for applying a pressure to the inside of the sampling channel. The pressure-applying unit controls the flow pressure or fluid flow rate of a fluid in the sampling channel such that a pressure gradient toward the outlet-side open end nozzle of the sampling channel is not less than 1 kPa/m.

  • Patent number: 11015159
Abstract: A single-use cell culturing apparatus and a culturing bag are provided, each of which can improve efficiency of stirring a culture solution and further reduce a possibility of leakage of the culture solution. The single-use cell culturing apparatus of the present invention includes a housing that accommodates the culturing bag which is flexible and can seal the culture solution inside thereof. The housing has, on an inner surface thereof, a curved convex-shaped protrusion provided at a portion of a contact face at which the housing is in contact with the culturing bag. The culturing bag of the present invention is accommodated in the housing of the single-use cell culturing apparatus; is flexible; and can seal the culture solution inside thereof. The culturing bag includes a concave portion having a shape corresponding to the curved convex protrusion disposed on a part of the housing.

  • Patent number: 9981205
Abstract: Provided is a purification device for purifying a useful substance (i.e., target substance) without using an acidic eluent. The purification device purifying the target substance comprises a column and a filler packed in the column. The filler contains a carrier, a temperature responsive polyamino acid bonded to the carrier, and a binding substance bonded to the temperature responsive polyamino acid and specifically bonding to the target substance.

  • Patent number: 9845453
Abstract: A cell culture apparatus is provided which can continuously and accurately measure turbidity of a cell culture solution and culture a cell, without inserting a turbidity sensor from outside into a sterile bag. The cell culture apparatus includes: a flexible and transparent sterile bag that is installed at a prescribed position in the cell culture apparatus and in which a cell contained in a cell culture solution is cultured; and a turbidity sensor that includes a light emitter which emits light to the cell culture solution in the sterile bag via a portion of the sterile bag, a light receiver which receives the light transmitted through the cell culture solution via another portion of the sterile bag, and that is configured to place the light emitter, the portion of the sterile bag, another portion of the sterile bag, and the light receiver, optically on a same straight line.

  • Publication number: 20040157270
Abstract: An automatic protein quantitative measurement apparatus having a reduced burden on an analysis operator, being free from bacterial contamination in each process device during collection of a sample liquid, having reduced measurement time and being capable of downsizing is provided. The automatic protein quantitative measurement apparatus has a sampling unit for automatically collecting a sample liquid online from at least one operation process of a cell culture step (wherein an antibody or other proteins are produced and secreted into the culture medium) and a separation step or a culture product purification step in a plant for culturing biological cells to produce a protein, a preprocessing unit for performing at least one of dilution and filtration of the sample liquid to adjust the liquid composition, a reaction unit having a cross-sectional area of 0.

  • Patent number: 5753498
Abstract: An agitating unit is provided in an upright fermenting reactor for purposes of carrying garbage from a lower portion toward an upper portion of the fermenting reactor. The horizontal distance between the agitator unit, or a spiral blade thereof, and an inner wall surface of the fermenting reactor is made larger in proportion to the axial position of the agitator unit toward the upper portion of the fermenting reactor. On the other hand, an opening between the spiral blade and its drive shaft may made larger in proportion to the axial position of the agitator unit toward the upper portion of the fermenting reactor. With such an arrangement, a flow from a lower portion toward the upper portion and a flow from the upper portion toward the lower portion are simultaneously formed.
