  • Publication number: 20190170701
Abstract: An ultrasonic flaw detecting apparatus comprises an array prove, an element-group defining circuit, a calculator, a signal receiver and a generator. The array probe comprises a plurality of piezoelectric elements, each of the plurality of piezoelectric elements being configured to transmit and receive an ultrasonic wave to and from an inspection object. The element-group defining circuit is configured to select, as an element group, plural consecutive piezoelectric elements from the plurality of piezoelectric elements, set a reference position of the element group based on array arrangement information of the plurality of piezoelectric elements in the element group and based on a weighting value of each of the plurality of piezoelectric elements in the element group, and calculate a propagation path of an ultrasonic beam from the element group based on the reference position and a predetermined refraction angle.

  • Patent number: 10310595
Abstract: Provided is an image display device configured to display a free viewpoint image that tracks a movement of observer's head and trunk. The line-of-sight direction and trunk orientation of the user are individually oriented in a free viewpoint space displayed on a display device 500 based on posture information of the user's head and trunk, which are respectively obtained from a head motion tracking device 200 and a trunk motion tracking device 300. A behavior that is natural in real space can be represented by moving a line of sight to a front direction of the trunk on a space in a state where the line of sight does not match the front direction of the trunk. An unnatural UI that goes straight to the line-of-sight direction is prevented regardless of orientation of the trunk.

  • Patent number: 10295743
Abstract: Disclosed is an optical semiconductor device which can be improved in light shift precision and restrained from undergoing a loss in light transmission. In this device, an inner side-surface of a first optical coupling portion of an optical coupling region and an inner side-surface of a second optical coupling portion of the region are increased in line edge roughness. This manner makes light coupling ease from a first to second optical waveguide. By contrast, the following are decreased in line edge roughness: an outer side-surface of the first optical coupling portion of the optical coupling region; an outer side-surface of the second optical coupling portion of the region; two opposed side-surfaces of a portion of the first optical waveguide, the portion being any portion other than the region; and two opposed side-surfaces of a portion of the second optical waveguide, the portion being any portion other than the region.

  • Patent number: 9996464
Abstract: Managing a cache includes determining from metadata of a received service request whether a cache data response may satisfy the request as a function of recognizing a cacheable method name specification within request metadata by a service provider associated with the request, and determining whether the request is an inquiry in order to decide if the request may be satisfied by the cached data. Aspects also include searching the cache for the data response if determined the data is cacheable and the request is an inquiry, and sending the request on to a service provider if the data response is not a cacheable response, or the request is an update request.
