  • Patent number: 4720682
Abstract: A surface electric potential sensor for detecting an electric potential on a surface of an object without contacting the surface. The sensor comprises a tuning fork having a base and legs formed of a single elastic body, piezoelectric vibrators respectively mounted on the legs, double-layer structure electrodes respectively provided on ends of the legs and each comprising an insulating substrate and a high conductive film, a supporting board, and a shield case which has a window for introducing therethrough lines of electric force radiated from the surface of the object. The tuning fork is mounted at the base on the upper surface of the supporting board. An electric circuit may be also mounted on the upper surface of the supporting board. As the tuning fork is vibrated by the piezoelectric vibrators, the electrodes moves so as to open and close the window of the shield case.

  • Patent number: 4707109
Abstract: An electrophotographic apparatus capable of editing a copy picture image includes a document table for mounting a document thereon and a document irradiator for irradiating a surface of the document, and an optical system for focusing the reflected image from the surface of the document onto a photosensitive body so as to produce a latent image thereon. A photosensitive body irradiator is further provided for directly and selectively irradiating at least a part of the photosensitive body to erase a part of the latent image on the irradiated part of the photosensitive body. The resultant latent image is then developed in the usual fashion to form a visible image on a plain sheet. A position and function selector is provided separately from the document table and includes a tablet for first mounting the document thereon prior to the document being mounted on the document table and further includes a pen arranged such that a position on the tablet is detected by an access of the pen.

  • Patent number: 4507523
Abstract: An electromagnetic-induction-type position determination apparatus or digitizer for inputting or digitizing hand-written characters and graphic equipment to electronic equipment is arranged so as to have a reduced number of conductors installed on its interface plate and has a reduced number of complicated control circuits. The apparatus includes an interface plate having conductors installed in the form of a matrix and a control system for supplying two currents to two conductors in the same direction. A pick-up is moveably positioned on the interface plate for picking up two induced voltages induced by magnetic fields generated by the two currents flowing through the two conductors and a detector and processor are arranged to detect a predetermined relationship between the two induced voltages and to derive digital coordinate data based on the detected predetermined relationship.

  • Patent number: 4423517
Abstract: A synchronization system for a spread spectrum communication receiver generates a receiving code sequence which is identical to an input code sequence and then varies the timing of the receiving code sequence using a correlator until the two code sequences are correlated.

  • Patent number: 4194158
Abstract: The present invention is an integrated front end circuit for a VHF receiver including a high frequency grounded base amplifier, a mixer having a differential type amplifier, a constant current type oscillator, and a bias circuit. In the mixer, a resistor is inserted between common emitters of the transistors of a differential amplifier and the collector of a constat current transistor driving the differential amplifier. In order to keep the oscillation frequency constant during a change in source voltage, there is provided a certain relation between the change in source voltage and the driving current of the oscillator by means of a bias circuit. The collectors and bases of the transistors used for the high frequency amplifier, the differential amplifier and the oscillator use the same D.C. potential.
