  • Patent number: 8117959
Abstract: A swash plate includes a boss, which is mounted on the drive shaft, and a plate portion, which extends from the boss to be inclined with respect to the drive shaft. A rotary valve includes a suction passage, which sequentially connects cylinder bores in a suction stroke via an associated guide passage. An introduction guide communicates with the shaft bore to introduce the refrigerant gas in the swash plate chamber to the rotary valve. The introduction guide faces the boss and extends in the radial direction from the shaft bore beyond the boss. Therefore, suction efficiency of refrigerant gas from the swash plate chamber to the cylinder bore has improved.

Abstract: The present invention is to detect leakage of fluid from a channel in a microreactor certainly at an early stage. A chemical reactor has a microreactor with a pump for sending first, second solutions, and a channel for mixing and reacting the first, second solutions. The solution sending amount of the first, second solutions to be supplied to the microreactor is controlled by a pump controlling device. The microreactor has a first substrate with a channel and a second substrate to be bonded airtightly with the first substrate. A leak detecting channel is formed in the vicinity of the channel in the first substrate.

  • Patent number: 6938908
Abstract: In a multi-link rear suspension (A) in which a wheel support (11) is connected to a vehicle body through five links (6-10) and vehicle body side ends of the links are provided with rubber bushes (26), respectively, the lower end of a damping device (14) formed by coaxially arranging a coil spring (12) and a damper (13) is pivoted to a portion of the wheel support (11) located toward the inside of the vehicle body so that the vertical reaction force of the damping device (14) produces a moment Mn toward negative camber on a rear wheel (2). The moment Mn is set to be always larger than a moment Mp toward positive camber produced by a side force on the outside rear wheel (2) during vehicle cornering until limit maneuvering conditions of the outside rear wheel due to the side force are reached. The damping device (14) is disposed with respect to a suppositive king pin axle K so that the vertical reaction force thereof produces a moment toward toe-in on the rear wheel (2).

  • Patent number: 6837329
Abstract: A four-wheel drive vehicle has front wheels and rear wheels driven by an engine, and a coupling for changing the distribution ratio of torque to the front wheels and the rear wheels. An ECU determines whether engine braking is being applied based on the vehicle speed V and the throttle opening degree Od. When determining that engine braking is being applied, the ECU temporarily performs the engine braking related control. The ECU controls the engaging force of the coupling such that the distribution ratio of torque to the front wheels and the rear wheels is changed to a more equalized state in the engine braking related control than that before the engine braking related control is started. Accordingly, the fixing force of the front wheels and the rear wheels is temporarily increased without delay when engine braking is applied.

  • Patent number: 6797972
Abstract: A high-polymer neutron shielding material which scarcely reduces the hydrogen number density when exposed to a high temperature of 150 to 200° C. for a long time period A heat-setting type epoxy resin is employed. The base resin is selected from various epoxy resins such as bisphenol A type epoxy resin. The hardener is selected from alicyclic polyamine, polyamide amine, aromatic polyamine, acid anhydride, and so on. These materials are mixed and hardened at a temperature higher than the room temperature. To give a flame resistance to the hardened resin, a fire retardant such as magnesium hydroxide is added to the mixture. To improve the neutron shielding performance of the hardened resin, a neutron absorbing material is added to the mixture. Further, to increase the moderating performance, hydrogenated bisphenol A epoxy resin is used as the base resin or metal hydride or hydrogen absorbing alloy is added.

  • Patent number: 6752742
Abstract: A vehicle has a transmission apparatus that changes the distribution of power transmitted from a power source to a plurality of wheels. The method for distributing power of the vehicle includes detecting the temperature of a part located on a power transmission path between the power source and a wheel to which power is transmitted from the power source through the transmission apparatus, the heat of the part being increased as the power distribution ratio is increased; determining that the current state is a specific state in which the detected temperature reaches a previously set first reference temperature; and controlling the transmission apparatus to lower the power distribution ratio to the wheel from the transmission apparatus when the current state is determined to the specified state.
