    Abstract: There is provided a technique that includes: performing a set a plurality of times, the set including: (a) loading at least one substrate into a process container; (b) performing a process of forming a nitride film on the at least one substrate by supplying a film-forming gas to the at least one substrate supported by a support in the process container; (c) unloading the processed at least one substrate from an interior of the process container; and (d) supplying an oxidizing gas into the process container from which the processed at least one substrate has been unloaded so as to oxidize one part of the nitride film formed inside the process container in (b) into an oxide film and maintain another part of the nitride film, which is different from the one part of the nitride film, as it is without oxidizing the another part.

    Abstract: A draft chamber is located within a clean room for sequentially immersing and processing carriers such as silicone wafers in a plurality of solution vessels provided in the draft chamber. In the draft chamber, a first air flow moves in a substantially horizontal direction from the front portion of the draft chamber toward the rear portion above the surfaces of solutions contained in chemical solution vessels which generate toxic gasses and a second air flow moves downward from the ceiling of the draft chamber. Thus, the toxic gasses generated from the chemical solution vessels are prevented from leaking into the clean room.

    Abstract: A wide thin metal sheet having a smooth surface may be manufactured directly from molten metal. A lower end of a nozzle installed vertically at the bottom of a molten metal vessel is held in contact with an inclined plate made of a refractory material, molten metal is discharged in a fan-shape from a notch formed in the peripheral wall of the nozzle end, the discharged molten metal being rendered into a constant shape laminar flow having a uniform flow rate distribution on the inclined surface as it flows down the inclined plate. The constant shape laminar flow is supplied to a molten metal pool between a pair of rollers of internally water-cooled type without any disturbance on the surface and in the inside. The metal solidified in the neighborhood of a portion of the gap between the two rollers is discharged from an open-at-the-bottom space defined between the two rollers.
