  • Publication number: 20230158921
Abstract: An electric mileage estimation apparatus includes a storage device and a hardware processor connected to the storage device. The storage device stores information in which traveling history information is associated with an electric mileage of traveling. The traveling history includes a characteristic of a driver. The hardware processor acquires information about a traveling schedule including a characteristic of a driver. The hardware processor calculates an electric mileage estimation value on the basis of the information about the traveling schedule and parameters calculated from the information stored in the storage device. The hardware processor outputs information based on the electric mileage estimation value.

  • Publication number: 20230160720
Abstract: An electric mileage estimation device includes a hardware processor connected to a memory. The hardware processor calculates a first electric mileage estimation value on the basis of traveling condition information included in information about a traveling schedule. The hardware processor also calculates a second electric mileage estimation value on the basis of: information about traveling place information included in the information about the traveling schedule, and electric mileage map information in which map information is associated with an electric mileage corresponding to the map information. The hardware processor estimates an electric mileage on the basis of the first electric mileage estimation value and the second electric mileage estimation value. The hardware processor outputs information based on the electric mileage.

  • Patent number: 9415732
Abstract: A vehicle power unit is operable to, when not driving the starter, charge first and second capacitors. A controller is operable to, when driving the starter, cause the battery to supply power to the starter if a total voltage of first and second capacitor voltages is smaller than a predetermined total voltage. The controller is operable to, when driving the starter, form a parallel circuit of the battery and the first capacitor, and connect the second capacitor in series to the parallel circuit if the total voltage is not smaller than the predetermined total voltage at a beginning of use of the vehicle. The controller is operable to, when driving the starter, disconnect the battery from the starter. The vehicle power unit reduces a load applied to the battery when driving the starter, accordingly extending a life time of the battery.

  • Publication number: 20130106180
Abstract: A vehicle power supply device is provided which is capable of improving fuel efficiency by lengthening a period of no-idling even if a main power supply thereof is deteriorated. The device is configured for use in a vehicle having an engine and a load, and includes an electric generator, a main power supply, a starter, a first switch, a power storage part, a second switch, and a control part. In the case of the main power supply being deteriorated, the control part causes the main power supply to supply electric power thereof to the load in the period of no-idling of the vehicle, and the control part controls, when the engine is restarted, such that the starter is driven on both the electric power of the main power supply and regenerative electric power of the power storage part, with the first switch being OFF and the second switch being ON.

  • Publication number: 20100289452
Abstract: A load and a first storage battery are connected to a generator, and a second storage battery is connected to the generator via a DC/DC converter, wherein a controller connected to the DC/DC converter, receiving a regeneration signal emitted from outside, controls the DC/DC converter so that the voltage of an input/output terminal becomes the first target voltage that is lower by the first fixed value than the voltage of input/output terminal to which the generator is connected in the DC/DC converter at the time in order to charge the second storage battery, and when regeneration signal reception is ended, the DC/DC converter is controlled so that the voltage of the input/output terminal becomes the second target voltage that is higher by the second fixed value than the voltage of input/output terminal at the time, and thereby, it is possible to enhance the regenerative power recovering efficiency irrespective of conditions during braking.
