    Abstract: A T-bar roof wherein a bracket is secured to one edge of a glass window using a bolt and a urethane resin adhesive and the bracket is detachably disposed on a roof frame of an automotive vehicle. A quick-drying adhesive is applied to the area between the bracket and the glass window so as to temporarily secure these two members. Thus, it is possible to transport or mount the window glass on a vehicle without waiting for the urethane resin adhesive to set.

    Abstract: An outer door handle, for example for a vehicle, includes a stationary casing fixed to the door and a handle member movably mounted on the door adjacent the case and connected to the opening mechanism of the door. In order to improve appearance of the handle while maintaining good physical strength, either the handle member or casing is composed of a base portion formed of thermoplastic material having glass fibers, and a thin film laminated on the base portion, the thin film lacking glass fibers.

    Abstract: A device for raising and lowering an airfoil mounted on a lower portion of a vehicle body comprises a driving mechanism for driving the airfoil upwardly and downwardly, an electric device such as a motor for actuating the driving mechanism, a vehicle height detector for detecting the height of the vehicle body with respect to an axle, an airfoil height detector for detecting the height of the airfoil with respect to the vehicle body, and a control unit responsive to the vehicle height as detected by the vehicle height detector, the airfoil height as detected by the airfoil height detector, and the speed of travel of the vehicle body for actuating the electric device to lower the airfoil when the speed exceeds a predetermined level and the vehicle height is high.

    Abstract: A ventilation mechanism to be mounted in a window opening on a front lateral side of a motor vehicle, including a bracket adapted to be fixed in the window opening, a valve member supported on the bracket and movable between two positions for opening and closing ventilation aperture or apertures in the bracket, a rotor rotable through a predetermined angle in relation with the movement of the valve member, and a control mechanism determining the position of the valve member in response to an angular rotation of the rotor. The bracket includes inner and outer plates each provided with an aperture or apertures to permit air flow therethrough. The inner plate is provided with a first cylinder portion to support therein a second cylinder portion the valve member non-rotatably and axially displaceable. The rotor is rotatably supported on the outer plate of the bracket in the form of a cylinder loosely fitting in the second cylinder portion of the valve member.
