  • Publication number: 20110054364
Abstract: The exercise system includes a passive exercise device (10), an acceleration sensor (20), a posture evaluation device (30), and an indication device (40). The passive exercise device (10) is configured to allow a user (80) to perform a passive exercise. The acceleration sensor (20) is attached around the lower back of user (80), and is configured to measure accelerations respectively in three axial directions and output the measured accelerations to the posture evaluation device (30). The posture evaluation device (30) is configured to calculate, on the basis of the acceleration, a physical amount for evaluation of a posture of the user (80) performing the passive exercise, and make an evaluation of the posture of the user (80) by comparing the calculated physical amount with a predetermined reference value. The posture evaluation device (30) is configured to prepare, on the basis of the resultant evaluation, an exercise instruction for remediation of the posture of the user (80).

  • Patent number: 7867141
Abstract: A physical activity measuring system analyzes analyzing body motions of a user to accurately determine the exercise intensity. The system includes a portable device which is adapted to be carried by the user and is equipped with a body sensor and an indicator for indication of the exercise intensity. The body sensor senses the user's body motions to give corresponding motion strength. The portable device has a processor which constitutes an exercise calculator which has a predetermined relationship between a default standard deviation of the motion strength and an exercise intensity scale. The exercise intensity calculator collects a time series data of the motion strengths within a predetermined first time frame, obtains a standard deviation of thus collected motion strengths, and converting the standard deviation into an instant exercise intensity within the intensity scale in accordance with the predetermined relationship.

  • Patent number: 7766841
Abstract: The sleep diagnosis device 1 of the present invention comprises three-dimensional acceleration sensors 2a and 2b, a posture detector 5 which detects a posture of the patient from a DC component of the three-dimensional acceleration sensors, and a breathing movement detector 4 which detects a breathing movement of the patient from the AC component of the three-dimensional acceleration sensors. The sleep diagnosis device of the present invention can detect the posture (sleeping posture) and the breathing movement of the patient by using one three-dimensional acceleration sensor, so it is possible to reduce the number of sensors. Furthermore, the sleep diagnosis device can detect the breathing movement accurately by the three-dimensional acceleration sensors.

  • Publication number: 20090203970
Abstract: This relates to a sleep apnea test sensor assembly (20) comprising multiple sensors to be used for diagnosis of sleep apnea syndrome, and a test equipment (30) comprising the same. The respective sensors each associate sensing data measured by a respective sensing section with time data of a clock unit, and store them in a storage unit so as to allow the sensing section to perform sensing at a predetermined period in response to a clocking operation of the clock unit, and set time of the clock unit in response to a synchronous signal input from outside. The respective sensors operate physically independently of each other, but can measure sensing data with the synchronization in time therebetween being secured, enabling accurate diagnosis of SAS.
