  • Patent number: 11469885
Abstract: Disclosed herein is a data storage device with storage medium that stores encrypted user content data. A cryptography engine uses a cryptographic key to decrypt the encrypted user content data. An access controller receives, from a user device, a request to register the user device and generates a challenge for a manager device. The manager device is located remotely from the data storage device. The controller sends, to the user device, the challenge for the manager device; receives, from the user device, a response calculated by the manager device to approve the request to register; calculates the cryptographic key based at least partly on the response calculated by the manager device; and creates and stores authorization data associated with the user device. The authorisation data indicates the cryptographic key, to register the user device with the data storage device.

  • Publication number: 20220217447
Abstract: Embodiments are directed towards selecting content search results based on the age of the viewer. The content receiver receives search criteria for a viewer, which may include the age of the viewer. The content receiver obtains search results from a search of a plurality of content. The search results are prioritized based on the age of the viewer and presented to the viewer. In this way, searching for “dog” for a four year-old may provide or prioritize different results compared to search for “dog” for an eight year-old.

The data path comprises a data port configured to transmit data between a host computer and the data storage device and registers with the host computer system as a block data storage device. A non-volatile storage medium stores encrypted user content data. A cryptography engine is connected between the data port and the storage medium and uses a key to decrypt the encrypted user content data. A data store stores multiple entries comprising authorization data associated with respective authorized devices. The access controller receives from a manager device a public key associated with a private key stored on a device to be authorized, creates the authorization data, and stores the authorization data in association with the public key in the data store, thereby registering the device to be authorized as one of the authorized devices.

  • Publication number: 20220123932
Abstract: This disclosure relates to data storage device (DSD) hardware and, more specifically, to systems and methods for encrypting data stored on a DSD. A DSD comprises a non-volatile storage medium to store multiple file system data objects using block addressing. The multiple file system data objects are addressable by respective ranges of blocks. A device controller is integrated with the DSD and comprises hardware circuitry configured to encrypt data to be stored on the storage medium and decrypt data stored on the storage medium based on different cryptographic keys, and to use each of the different cryptographic keys for one of the ranges of blocks addressing a respective file system data object. The decryption part of the hardware circuitry can be deactivated so that the data can be read in encrypted form.

  • Publication number: 20210393048
Abstract: A bed includes a base, an upper frame, and a plurality of walls extending upwardly from the base to the upper frame. One of the frame members is a movable frame member that is movable relative to another of the frame members in order to adjust a height of a portion of the rim formed by the movable frame member relative to the base. The upper frame is configured such that the movable frame member is movable between first, second, and third predetermined positions relative to the base. The upper frame includes a locking mechanism configured to selectively lock the movable frame member at the first and second predetermined positions. The upper frame is configured such that the position of the movable frame element is biased to move from the third predetermined position toward the first and second predetermined positions.

  • Patent number: 11163067
Abstract: An interface device that enables a GNSS-based precision approach through the Ground Base Augmentation System (GBAS) function known as the GNSS Landing System (GLS) and/or through Satellite Based Augmentation Systems (SBAS) based Localizer Performance with Vertical Guidance (LPV). The GLS interface device allows a GLS-capable multi-mode receiver to be used on a non-GLS-capable airplane without extensive changes to other airplane systems. The GLS interface device works by intercepting information to and from the multi-mode receiver and modifying the information to make the interface compatible with an airplane that uses ILS guidance. Similarly, the information modifications will make the airplane appear to the multi-mode receiver as if it were a GLS-capable airplane.
