  • Patent number: 10596765
Abstract: A method of making an aerosol container suitable for use as an aerosol dispenser. The aerosol container includes at least a valve and product delivery device joined to an outer container. The method has the steps of sealing the valve to the product delivery device and outer container at respective annular welds or other bonds joining the valve to the product delivery and to the outer container. The welds, or other bonds may be concentric, with one circumscribing the other, in the same plane or different planes. Suitable product delivery devices include bags and dip tubes. Suitable welds include spin welds.

  • Publication number: 20200080628
Abstract: A transmission includes an input shaft coupled to a prime mover, a countershaft, main shaft, and an output shaft, with gears between the countershaft and the main shaft. A shift actuator selectively couples the input shaft to the main shaft by rotatably coupling gears between the countershaft and the main shaft. The shift actuator is mounted on an exterior wall of a housing including the countershaft and the main shaft. A controller controls the shift actuator utilizing an actuating pulse and an opposing pulse.

A shift actuator selectively couples the input shaft to the main shaft by rotatably coupling gears between the countershaft and the main shaft. The shift actuator is mounted on an exterior wall of a housing including the countershaft and the main shaft. An integrated actuator housing includes a single external power access for the shift actuator. A controller interprets controls the shift actuator with actuating and opposing pulses, and interprets a shaft displacement angle, determines if the transmission is in an imminent zero or zero torque region, and performs a transmission operation in response to the transmission in the imminent zero or zero torque region.

  • Patent number: 10401785
Abstract: A replaceable imaging unit according to one example embodiment includes a photoconductor unit positioned at the front of a housing of the imaging unit. First and second alignment guides extend outward at the same height from first and second sides of the housing, respectively, on the photoconductor unit and run parallel to each other along a front-to-rear dimension of the housing. Each of the first and second alignment guides includes a front contact member at a front end thereof and a rear contact member at a rear end thereof. The front contact members are positioned further outward sideways than the rear contact members. Bottom surfaces of the front and rear contact members are unobstructed to permit the bottom surfaces of the front and rear contact members to sit on top of corresponding guide rails in the image forming device to control a vertical position of the imaging unit.

  • Patent number: 10323994
Abstract: A torque sensor for use in an electric power assisted steering system comprises a first shaft, a second shaft, and a torsion bar, a hollow sleeve that is secured to the first shaft and extends along the torsion bar to at least partially axially overlap the second shaft, angular deflection indicating means that produce a signal that is dependent on the angular deflection of the first shaft relative to the second shaft as a torque is applied across the torque sensor that causes the torsion bar to twist, at least one drive dog fixed to the sleeve and at least one corresponding drive dog fixed to the second shaft, in normal operation the two dogs being offset so that they permit a defined range of angular deflection of the torsion bar but will engage each other to provide a path for torque to be transferred from the first shaft to the second shaft in the event of a failure of the torsion bar, and a connecting element which has a first part that is secured within a bore in one of the second shaft and the sleeve, t
